Sachin may have been a great player ! Period. However it was disheartening to hear that Sachin having earned over 150 million US dollars, he sold his red Ferrari car (gifted to him for free by Michael Schumacher of F1 racing) to a builder from Gujarat for an undisclosed sum ! A person of Sachin's stature should never sell a free gift. If he didn't want the gifted Ferari car, he could have auctioned it off to any highest bidder and donated the proceeds to the poor or some deserving charity. After all his celebrity status must have further added to the value of the car.....
If you want to compare, compare the impact cricketer has on the game of a cricket, impact on genral people across world population, player's persona and behaviour on and off field. Just for academic purpose you may find better player than Sachin in terms of average, but overall he may be the best rather he is. Offcourse in Don's Era there was not media so impact was not visible.. but then cricket was not that global as well. So he may be spared. But even if he would have been compared you never know. He(Sachin) has the best combination of the games greats. He had bad last few years but only by his standards..... ....Thanks
Sir , You are great ,you have inspired us a lot not only for waching your fantastic cricket , we have learn a lot of lesson , considering your good human being behavioural. Manoj Jha
Indian people have already made their next Bharat Ratna - Sachin Tendulkar. I am not sure, why Indian govt. is waiting for to declare Bharat Ratna for him.
Also, Queen Elizabeth is also poor in her gratitude of nominating Sachin with "Sir" title....
Actually awarding SIR and BHRAT RATNA awards - to Sachin - will add more wieght and increase value of these awards itself.
Why only non-christians need to wait for SIR title? In cricket, Sir Botham, Sir Bradman, Sir Richards are there, then why not SIR Sachin.....
Indians in Britain should lobby for this for Sachin...

You are practically begging for Sachin to be knighted, but correct your knowledge first. Indians are no longer allowed to accept this honour. Secondly the gentlemen you named will be addressed as Sir Ian, Sir Don, and Sir Vivian and NOT as Sir Botham, Sir Bradman, Sir Richards – as you mentioned.

Pl go to south, there they call SIR to everyone. As far as Bharatratna it should be followed by Major Dhyanchandaji.
Not sure why people should say 'WE MISS SACHIN' . No way we are going to miss you sir, in fact now you are available to all of us I mean to the country. Sir the passion you have shown in the cricket game, same passion is required to drive this country. This country needs person like you, please appear on the screen more with much more responsible person of India. You can do magics, yes we need such magics to improve our country. We all know that, this country is driven by politics. But who has made this? every citizen. And now same citizens required to change. We will keep Sachin Sir as leader and follow his steps. " WE DONT MISS YOU SACHIN SIR" Enough with Cricket life, please play your second innings for the betterment of the country . Good luck and all the best for your future targets.
