He will be forgotten by next year!
Primary audience for the sports scam is in the age group of 10 - 30 years!
This age group does not remember what it did yesterday!
With better and younger players like Kohli, Ashwin, Shikhar, Shami and so on taking over the Cricket scene in India, this short fellow will be a distant memory in a hurry!

On one hand, the media is blowing hi out of proportion. Here the writer is putting him down. We need to have a look at Sachin in a balanced way. He came to the scene as a child prodigy taking on the likes of Sir Richard Hadlee, Malcolm Marshall, Imran Khan like a pro when he was only 16. Yes, short but he had the guts and brains all packed in a small boy. He had the grace, balance and poise in his stroke play. He can teach and Coach people in general to work hard and be successful.
It takes 10,000 hours of perfect practice to be close to him at the age of 16. How many people, even if given the resources, will dedicate 10,000 hours before the age of 16 like Sachin.
they were writing about his retirement from the past 4-5 years. now they want to write about his future plans. these losers dont understand when to stop.
While measuring the greatness of a player wisden, cricinfo or the pundits considering only test match performance and it is absolutely rubbish.Even a one dimensional blocker like Boycott can become a legend in test cricket. But limited overs ask for versatality.Timing,Placement,Rotating the strike,Ability to slog,Holding the nerve,Mental calculations everything is part of limited overs.U have to score with a better pace and without throwing away the wicket means u have to be more skillful to succeed in limited over crickt.Sachin excelled in almost every aspect but he will come second to Viv Richards only.Bradman and Sobers never played ODIs so it is difficult to tell "they were complete".Apart from Sachin and VIV Javed Miandad was the most complete batsman i have ever seen.

Agree he will never come on top. There are hardly any important match where he performed like a great batsman.
try and get even 1% of what he has done. try in your own family wether they respect you all after your retirement. u bunch of jealous people think that whole world of cricket is afraid of sachin and write good things about him. if he is after records than the runs what he was getting has help in the team score only. it is shame that such a icon is getting bashed up every now and then. i do agree he has taken little more time in retirment. 2010 he became the first to score 200 not out in odi and 2011 world cup he hit two centuried and now realising the fact he is taking retirement than what is your problem. you ask your own wife wether she will keep you all as sweeper also. i am feeling sorry for you all. it is like butterfly who does not see any thorns or other thing except rose and mosquito who does not the see the beuatiful body but sit on the wounds only. come out of it boss and salute the national hero who is not bothered about the comments of you failur people. i think even your area of 200 peopel might not be knowing you. bunch of idiots.

Lazy software coolies cannot achieve in 10 lifetimes what he has done. It needs dedication and hardwork. Some of his critics are not worth his foot..

Sachin obviously was as gifted as Kambli. But he had more discipline and was also fortunate to have had so much support. Kambli had the same talent. Without the same background and strong support and mental discipline, Kambli ended up not so great a player.
Sachin was allowed to dedicate his life to the game. He was given the luxury. If he had applied his work ethic and brains, he would have achieved more than any software coolie in these forums...

half knowledge of history makes people fool at times.
For your information Sachin's father was a noted writer and sachin spent his childhood at Sahitya sahwas - a housing colony of all good writers. The humility that we see in him today comes to him from sanskars that he received. WELL BEFORE HIS MARRIAGE HE WAS CALLED A LEGEND. In short he coudn't have gone the vinod kambli way with or without a doctor as wife.

Why are you fretting over somebody who has achieved a million times more than you evena s a 16 year old. HAve you observed in Indian countryside,,, Dogs bark at the sun and run to chase the sun. Sun is not going away. It will shine.
What is in book is knowledge. Sachin probably had more of it already and also the wisdom to apply more than what is in books...

@ sundernath at one stage you're saying he is illustrate and misfit in parliament (which by the way is populated maximum by illiterate and on the other hand " Whereas, Sachin is confident and smooth around people who are much more educated than him because he has been trained to be like that by his wife!" so make up your mind or get trained by your wife if she is literate.

Hey Badrinath i guess u dont know that there are politicians in the parliamnent not just sweepers but the reason you chose sweeper well cause you're thinking trash, think positive not all politicians are bad imagine a world where there is no one in charge of the nation its policies then sweepers will sweep your house's wealth away with no one to save you no police no army no regulations
