Sonia spoke according to her knowledge. Shukla should have advised & shown courage to say NO. Sachin was an excellent cricketer & we would like to retain him in our minds like that. By doing such things after accepting the nomination for the Rajya Sabha & also getting the highest honour of Bharat Ratna superseding Major Dhyan Chand, it dosn't reflect well of a great personality. He should resign from the Rajya Sabha & also think about being relieved from the burden of Bharat Ratna. Such awarded icons don't run around selling biscuits & health drinks to make millions.
All the benefits that they used as MP not for the benefits of the Citizens must be returned honestly and they should respectfully leave the space top be filled by one who is interested in helpin g the Nation rather than helping themmeselves as celebrities .I wonder what Social Service these two have done for the Nation except that they have made enough money any way .Thanks for their generosity ???????
First of all this shukla is a political-Corporate-Celebrity Broker,he don't have any moral right to speak it now,he is really a Coward,if not he sholud have opened his shabby mouth at the time of proposal not now.
Shukla knows that his existence whatsoever in political circles stems from Sonia-Rahul worshiping and ends with that. He has therefore to compulsorily link every decision political or otherwise with only these two individuals. His outburst about Sonia being responsible for Sachin's Bharatratna honour sounds as if Sachin's own superlative accomplishments have nothing to do with this achievement; it is Sonia's recommendation alone, as per Shukla's assessment that made Sachin a deserving candidate for the honour. This eminently reflects the ludicrous level of all members of congress where sycophancy is the only qualification that matters. And now they will all try in chorus to brand Sachin as one among them and try to encash his popularity as they have nothing positive to project.
This is just another instance of taking credit. Congress, instead of giving good governance is just taking credit. it must be ashamed of using such great players like Sachin to take credit.
