INDIA MUST GUARD AGAINST COMPLACENCY
by damodaran mohan on Nov 11, 2013 06:30 PM

Although India were expected to win against WI but no one expected such an easy and comfortable win! And that too after the famed Indian batting collapse!Easily it must be one of the worst ever performances of WI batting, bowling and fielding! There appears to be something fundamentally gone wrong with WI cricket. The WI batting was an abject surrender with no one seem to have any semblance of "defence" whatsoever while Chanderpaul seem to be worried about his average only.Of course Marlon Samuels, their best bet got a poor decision. At least one expected a better bowling attack but other than Shillingford the rest looked simply hopeless cases!Indian bowling on the other hand was very good with Md. Shami and Ashwin excelling. Now Md. Shami is the new wonder kid and it remains to be seen how far he goes ? Rohit was another brilliant first with the bat and he too would be watched with interest.Given this background and considering that the Mumbai wicket is likely to be spin friendly India should win it comfortably. However India must avoid complacency.

Dhoni is on an 0-8 losing streak in overseas test having lost 0-4 both in england & aus and must try his best to end the streak against No1.South africa. Out of last 11 overseas test matches , he was won only once . His last test match win was against west indies in 2011.

by AirSlammer on Nov 08, 2013 11:34 PM

Will the streak continue in South Africa South Africans havent lost a test match for 2 years or a series for 2 years . It is going to be a mouthy watering series if both teams play their best squads
