Bowling Standards
by Alex Bond on Nov 01, 2013 10:19 PM  | Hide replies

I am not very much into cricket but I used to hear a lot regarding the bowling attack Sachin faced during his hay days like Akram, Waqar, Saqlian, McGrath, Gillespie, Warne, Walsh, Ambrose, Donald etc. Do we have such quality bowling now? Not intending to take the credit away from Kohli

I would be very happy
by Straight Drive on Nov 01, 2013 09:30 PM  | Hide replies

I would be very happy when Sachin's records are broken. I have always disagreed when he was put ahead of the game.

Virat Kohli is already scoring at a faster rate than Sachin did but unfortunately he is not well projected by the media who has been covering/projecting Sachin like a product.

Good luck Virat. You are going well and continue the good work.

Test match centuries will be broken by Jacques Kalis very shortly.

Kallis will break SRT's 51st Test hundreds..
by Jaguar on Nov 01, 2013 08:11 PM

Kallis will break SRT's 51st Test hundreds if he plays for another 2 years.. Gavaskar is either getting old or blinded in his devotion to Tendukar.. how can he miss this in analysis?

gavaskar comparision is not proper.
by vinay on Nov 01, 2013 06:09 PM  | Hide replies

sachin took around 80-odd ODIs to get his first hundred, but initially he was coming down in middle order. then he started to open.

Why is Gavsakar's comparison not proper? Kohli too has batted in various positions therefore your assessment can also be said to be improper. Won't you agree to that?

Ha ha ha, very well said. This records hungry man is capable of doing this & the board might support his decision too. remember, the board never decides what he should do, he decides.

Kohli was top scorer in CB series 2012 in australia..in one of the match he scored hundred ..india lost the series 4-0.

Blind followers kohli have scored 8 centuries in india...out of balance 10 most of the centuries have been scored in the sub-continent....Balasurbra and vaidya...since sachin is retired now try some new business..

Sachin Geat cricket player but a good team player??
by sriram kannan on Nov 01, 2013 03:14 PM  | Hide replies

i agree he is great player and good in opening, but not a team player..after 2011 world cup if declared retirement, i will also salute the master but he didn't ..continuous flop and also while declaring retirement, he didn't even consider the selectors for name sake, he announced by saying Mumbai match will be his last match. then what it implies is that selector must have asked him to retire gracefully before they removed..he is not going in his own terms..Also please don't say whoever is against Sachin are RD / DADA fan, i was a fan of Sachin till 2011..after eng and Aus series (even home series against Aus / NZ) he struggled a lot. we need to accept the fact , instead if we keep doing a favoring for one time hero..we will end up in doing like for our whole life.. the same mistake we are currently doing in india politics ..

I agree witrh you .He was stumbling block for youngsters .Now yuvraj should also gracefully retire. As a master SRT has taught a lesson to cricket world to what happens to youth if elders dont retire in time.My these remarks doesnot reduce the regards I have for the gr8 sportsman of the century .But enough is enough

its well known fact which many find it difficult to digest, particularly Marathis.
Many of Sachin's Tons both in ODI and Test have gone in vain when India either lost or lost by innings.
