Where was his conscience when Srinivasan twisted the rules
by Ashish Singh on Jun 01, 2013 02:10 PM  | Hide replies

Where was the conscience of these 2 officials for 14 days when Srinivasan defeid the media and public demands for his resignation. The fact is when the news broke that an ICC official had informed a BCCI /IPL top person that Gurunath was exceeding his limits, then out fearingthat these worthies will be exposed they put in their papers. Sabhi ek he thali kay chatte batte hai,and their is no guarantee that the new BCCI President maybe better(Pawar).

Cricket Is A Gambling Game, I Never Like
by Bigtribe on Jun 01, 2013 12:13 PM

Except for a few personalities in the cricket such as Sachin & Dhoni, I do not like the game of cricket at all..

Reason why?
1. Cricket has been from its origin a game for gambling.
2. Game never spread beyond British colonies and is restricted to a few.
3. Game is played for sheer money and not for with a true sport man spirit. Tell me anyone plays cricket without involving money?

FFFUUUCCCKKK the game
by karthi d on Jun 01, 2013 10:54 AM

F**k the game...for long time it is not a gentlemen's game. What is happening now is just greedy politics...just enjoy watching other sports

All we see here on the posting is...how we Indians have love for each other??? shame...we are a great nation divided in all possible ways...religion, language, race, caste, region, culture, politics...at any point of time we can't reach singularity in the interest of the country or people...

for the past 2 weeks all we talk about is the Game!!! and the crook players...we forgot about the all misdoing of the government and our economy is going for a nose dive...

Don't write something illogical.Srini should take some moral responsibility for the rot in his organisation and his son-in-law's involvement.Did he not know anything.Either he knew or was incompetant in not knowing.Srini wanted power, position and fame.He neglected his company India Cements for BCCI and has caused a loss to the shareholders of India Cements whose profits/share price have fallen over many years.Srini made the same mistake that Mallya made and both are sufferers now.Why have the Secretary and Treasurer resigned? Srini has lost the confidence of his organisation and the general public and will have to go.Politics is also part of any organisation.Srini benifitted earlier and now is he the victim. He cannot complain now.

Better Late than Never
by DEBABRATA DEY on May 31, 2013 10:22 PM  | Hide replies

Mr. Sanjay Jagdale and Mr. Ajay Shirke - you have resigned though it is late. Mr. Arun Jaitly, Mr. Rajiv Shukla and others Board Members should follow.

Mr. Sanjay Jagdale should have revolted and challenged when he was sitting beside NS during Press Conference in Kolkata and NS was giving spurious fabricated misleading statement about his son-in-law. Everyone knows the status of Gurunath in CSK. NS has reported the media in a press conference on 26.05.2013 at Kolkata that Gurunath is not the CEO/Owner of CSK but an honorary member only. Surprisingly, e-mail of IPL6 Chairman Rajiv Shulka to all the 9 Team Owners (Gurunath was addressed as CEO/Owner of CSK) for a workshop did not corroborate the claim of NS. Further, findings of Mumbai Police after raid of Gurunath's house at Chennai (that came out in Media reports) did not corroborate the claim of NS.
Now, such a spurious statement by NS is nothing but suppression of facts/misleading fabricated information which may divert the whole issue and justice may be denied.
Position of BCCI President is too high. Since Gurunath is the son-in-law of NS, it is his moral duty to step down till the investigation is completed freely without any internal pressure. Further, as a good human being, if NS has an iota of moral values he should step down.

Two people who were acting as the paid agents of Srini and who should also give up their postions to regain some respect from the Indian Public are Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri.SG was giving some inane statements which was neither here or there and has gone down in the esteem of the cricket lovers.Atleast Sachin Tendulkar has woken up from his sleep and given some statement. What about the others?

Its high time that politicians are cleared from sports, viz arun jaitley(DDCA), Sharad Pawar(Mumbai,Maharashta,Vidharbha,CCI), Jyotiraditya Scindia(Madhya Pradesh), Narendra Modi(Gujrat), Farooq Abdullah(J & K), Anurag Thakur(Himachal), Rajeev shukla(UP), CP joshi(Rajasthan). N srinivasan has not done any wrong and he is not proven guilty so why to resign. Will any of the politicians resign if any case comes up against them?

This same thing happened to Jagmohan dalmiya and now with srinivasan. The court charges against meiyappan says only betting and not fixing! so what is wrong?

You all will wonder that at the end of the day nothing will happen to anyone including srishanth. This is because the total money involved is too big. Ultimately police and court will declare its inability to find proof, they anyway will not find any proof against big bosses, if found will not be declared, netas will save each other AND PEOPLE will be made foul again.
