One thought Laxman is an intelligent person. Unfortunately, he has proved otherwise. He is one more cricketer who has taken Indian cricket fans for granted. What credibility he is talking about? Certainly the credibility of these ex-cricketers, icons for many, would have been enhanced if they had voiced their true opinion about the whole episode. What is Laxman's view about Srinivasan still continuing as the Board President in the light of the current developments? Why should every ex-cricketer and present cricketers maintain Sphinx like silence? Is it because of the doles they receive from the BCCI. These cricketers should realise that they are where they are not because of the Board and Srinivasan, but because of the fans and they owe an explanation to the fans about the happenings and why no one, absolutely no one, wants to speak against Srinivasan barring a very few like Kirti Azad, Bishan Bedi, Prasanna and so on.... Come on Laxman, we expect more from you!

Don't expect any honesty from the current batch of cricketers whose livelihood depends on BCCI.
These commentators, mentors, and such people connected to the IPL teams cannot afford to be honest. Such is the power of BCCI.

Laxman and intelligence are antonyms. All he has is great timing of the ball. Thats all.

Why doesn't VVS say that something rotten is going on in Indian Cricket and IPL/BCCI should take some responsibility. All these cricketers and commentators are acting as paid agents of Srinivasan.VVS seems to learning the ropes from Gavaskar. The more these fellows keep quite and don't speak the truth the more they are going to go down in the esteem of the public.
This is not a league. This is not even a random collection of franchises (some of which come and go, and some which come, go, come and go again) playing a sport. There are no real laws, codes or regulations to adhere to. This is an ad-hoc, money-making enterprise, one in which the power brokers are not bound together by anything other than the desire to perpetuate their status quo. This is a cabal, a cartel of the already wealthy getting wealthier and making sure they protect themselves in doing so. Cricket just happens to be a means.
