Happy Corruption
by Bhai Bahan on May 29, 2013 04:14 PM  | Hide replies

BJP is ready to disrupt parliament for any matter. But, look here in the case of BCCI. People across sprctrum of political sphere is so friendly. Jaitley, Modi(BJP), Shukla, Scindia(Cong), Pawar(NCP), Abdullah(NC) etc...At least the so called 'corrupt cong leaders' are demanded Srinivasan's ouster. Still our anti corruption advocate Jaitley is silent. Hmmm... We should Salute Kirti Azad for his honesty since he played cricket and not politics!

All these political fellows are the same.No wonder Arvind Kejrival has said that all these charges of corruption by political parties is nothing but "match fixing".In Karnataka people voted for BJP thinking they were clean and good.BJP turned out to be worse than Congress and was kicked out and once again the corrupt Congress was bought to power. It is disgusting to see these fellows including former players and commentators talking about clean cricket, etc.Ram Jethmalani was kicked out of BJP for talking too much about black money and his support for Modi as PM candidate.

Congress should employ novel strategies
by Vinod Mehta on May 29, 2013 04:06 PM

N. Sreenivasan doesn't seem influenced by media pressure and cricket fans. It is high time, Congress kick out DMK and move closer to AIADMK.

Only Puratchi Thalaivi and Amma Jayalalitha knows how to make N. Sreenivasan step down from his post than North Indians.

Welcome Amma to Indian politics, once again!!

This all film has purposely been scripted by Congresses to cover-up Mr.PM, Ashwini Kumar & Pawan Bansal from their respective KAANDS.

How smartly congress has diverted everyone's y playing this spot fixing film.

Hats-off to Congress persons ...they are real politician and can easily digest anything.

Agreed Sir. Then why our anti-corruption crusaders Arun Jaitley and Narendera Modi of BCCI is silent on this? They should tell the controversy is to cover up Cong corruptions. But why they are criminally silent!

BCCI should have been under PMO -- Times now is CONFUSED
by Arnab Goswami on May 29, 2013 03:48 PM  | Hide replies

Had BCCI been under PMO and Sreenivasan been close to MMS, atleast Sonia Gandhi would have interfered to make Sreenivasan step down by seeing my scrolls and facts am bringing forth.

Of all the scams and irregularities our news channel Times Now had exposed, only two guys happened to be shameless and brazen enough to stick to their post-- One is Nitin Gadkari and other is N. Sreenivasan.

We had our internal "Times Now" Chintan Baitak from last three days and breaking our heads to make Sreenivasan step down. We are running out of ideas, viewers suggestions are desperately invited.

Nixon was not linked to the Watergate complex breakin when it happened.Slowly drip by drip daily one revelation after another showed Nixon's involvement in many wrongdoings including taping conversations and finally he had no alternative but to quit due to public pressure.Srinivasan is becoming a joke day by day and the longer he sticks to his chair adamantly he will be the loser not fit for any respect later on.

He can still salvage some respect for himself if he quits now rather than being forced out later. He has already become "damaged goods".

Tall claims...

Ties Now chatter box has become famous to have loose motion through the wrong hole. The ideas and blabberings have become world famous.

Simply put.. Sreenivasan... where does he stand in the bookies or betting. In India for your info.. betting is not banned. Horse race and Goa there are casinos.

Gadkari was sacked or he side stepped for a new face.

TIME FOR BOTH N SRINIVASAN AND RAJIV SHUKLA TO QUIT
by damodaran mohan on May 29, 2013 03:33 PM  | Hide replies

Every passing day his position is becoming increasingly untenable. The pace at which things are moving NS could find himself not just in minority but in isolation. As per Scindia's suggestion NS could at least think in terms of stepping down till the completion of the Inquiry and investigations so that they could be perceived as free and fair. But NS's resignation could only be first of the many follow up actions needed for BCCI.The question automatically comes to mined is who to take over from him ? Perhaps Shashank Manohar appears to be the best successor for the time being given his clean image. However in the long run a NS getting replaced by just another BCCI official but nothing else changing will not serve the purpose much. What is needed is the entire working of BCCI needs to be professionalized bringing it under the ambit of RTI to make its functioning more transparent that brings accountability. Adhocism, arbitrariness and distribution of doles and patronages to selective few w/o proper criteria have to stop. Scores of parasites and freeloaders feeding off BCCI must be thrown out. Even running of IPL, it will be next to impossible to continue in the same lackadaisical fashion as it is run now. In fact Rajiv Shukla, the IPL CH should take primary responsibility for the present IPL mess and should also quit along with NS.

Both Shukla's and Jetley's reputation has been damaged to some extent by their silence earlier and now making a show of saying something due to public pressure. The political parties fight against corruption has shown to be a hallow one and of "match fixing" as Arvind Kejrival has rightly said. The least these gentlemen can do for cricket is to bring BCCI under RTI. Do they have the courage and will to do it in public interest? People are watching after waking up.
