Punishment
by usha sundaram on May 30, 2013 11:39 PM

Assuming, Mr. Gurunath Meyappan is found to be guilty of charges of "Betting" and also punished by BCCI (I don't what punishment can they give) will the BCCI probe all individuals connected with "Betting"? I believe BCCI should. How can they single out one individual when there are hundreds if not thousands that are connected with BCCI and it regional affiliated bodies indulge in the same crime for which Mr. Meyappan was investigated and found guilty?

a simple question...
by shaheen khan on May 28, 2013 11:34 PM

my simple question is that why should a father-in-law be made the scapegoat for his son-in-law's unlawful ways unless there is evidence to prove that the father-in-law is himself hand-in-glove?

BCCI = Srinivasan = Rajeev Shukla = Arun Jaitley = Brahmin.
And BJP will not demand Srinivasan's resignation.

Why N Srinivasan should not be asked to resign
by c mahadevan on May 28, 2013 07:00 PM

Any probe involving the alleged misdeeds of his son-in-law will not carry credibility as long as he is the President of the BCCI.Better to leave the job that he intends to do to clean up the IPL imbroglio to someone who is indpendent of the whole matter. The honorable course for Mr Srinivasan is to step down on moral grounds.

You Peoples does not have sense at all to bark in Rediff day by Day....When Gurunath arrested for Betting, there are lots of noises around hitting back CSK and Dhoni.. Is this realy for the Betting Scandal or Hatred towards CSK & Dhoni???.....How come you idiots ask to get back the IPL trophies won by CSK???.... If CSK won only by betting, then all the Opponent IPL Team Players should be arrested including your BELOVED Mumbai Team.....IS IT SO???... no one have guts to say bad about Ambanis or Sachins??? is that right.... Please give some space for the Cricketers, do not put your personal feelings in the public site.... I am from south, i am not supporting Gurunath Either.. But my Big Question is CSK / DHONI / BCCI is hated only becoz of TamilNadu?????.... We Indian Citizens does not have rights to Complain the politicians in this Diversified Country... Becozz if we have more & more Hatredness towards the neighbour state peoples, what is the point in yelling at the Politicians???... If some bad happens to the mumbai people, south side should have a feeling that it had happened in their home and vice versa...... "BE Indian" is getting splitted to 28 different statements - "BE Tamilan", "BE Marathi" etc etc...... Very Sad to see this much hatred between the peoples....

Why thinking so foolishly? Nobody is talking about Tamil/Marathi or even Dhoni. By the way Dhoni is not Tamilian or Marathi. Frankly I am also a big fan of Dhoni and for that CSK. But what Srini is doing is not right. Irrespective of Religion/Caste/State we need to support what is right and not what is wrong just because that person is a Tamil/Marathi/Panjabi/Hindu/Muslim/Christian etc.

Is this a paid article?
by Partha on May 28, 2013 05:45 PM

It seems moral ground, fair play and sports has lost the meaning - and the above article is toeing with the BCCI lines of conduct. If we can ask for Pavan Bansal's resignation then why not Srini?

N Srinivasan is a bully. He is misusing his power. He has to resign so that there is a fair trail, irrespective of his role, guilty or not. No body has faith in him, just the fact that he is siding his son-in-law and comes up with lies that he is not a owner and all that bullshit. As the author says it is because he is not media savvy, but it is the other way round and that is why he is trying to manipulate. After the probe he may say that his son-in-law actually gave a hand load to help someone in need and this author will say, what if it was a fact? Srini may also say that the opinion of the majority of the three member team will be considered as per the new law :) The salaried employees know what their fate will be if they don't sing to his tune.
