MEDIA MUST LEAVE TEAM INDIA ALONE
by damodaran mohan on May 29, 2013 01:45 PM

While media hounding (as NS puts it) in spite of his detailed press conference in Kolkatta is understandable but media pestering Dhoni or team India on match fixing on the occasion of departure for playing in CT cannot be appreciated. None of the members of team India are charged with any ‘fixing’ charges so why media pester them unnecessarily ? BCCI has every right to enforce certain guidelines on the press meet to the point of ‘gagging’ Dhoni from speaking on the issue as it could affect the team morale. As it is the players must be feeling stressed on account of the developments in IPL and so it is only proper that the media and the Indian fans empathize with team India and do not make things more difficult in Englsnd so that they are able to concentrate on the game. We must wish them well to win the CT. Media sometimes act very irresponsibly and such roguish behavior must be condemned. Seeking resignation of NS at various forums, on TV talk shows etc are perfectly ok but through a column in a national daily on the morning of the match day asking sixtyfivethousand strong Eden garden crowd to ‘boo’ him while he presents the trophy, such boorish behavioris certainly shows a senior journalist like Boria Mazumdar in very poor light. The Indian team management is certainly going to have a tough time handling the press in England but it must watch out for BM and his ‘booing’ brigade of the Indian Diaspora if any.

Thats what IPL has become lately.

A huge juggernaut for making huge money.

If thoroughly investigated it could perhaps cover all and sundry.

Attempts are being made for the IPL to look like a holy cow.

The acts are however unholy and all concerned are either directly or indirectly responsible.

Being a silent spectator tantamounts to abetting the betting.

Cricket is a teamwork and the organized betting could hardly survive or thrive without the coordination of the team.

It is a teamwork of the teams, their owners and the League itself in its entirety.

They are all collectively responsible for what happens on the stage.

Slave to a Master

What do you expect out of a Servant ( Dhoni ) against his MASTER ( Srinivasan)? The day Dhoni became employee of Srinivasan he lost his credibility. As long as he gets his money, he will keep every thing shut, why only mouth ? He can only be His Masters Voice - in this case only his master's sheepish face !!!!

IPL 6
by Aman Kumar on May 29, 2013 12:33 PM

IPL 6 was the biggest scam in recent history!

The final match of the tournament was bought out by you know who!

The timing of the declaration of spot fixing during the tournament is the first clue!

All the events leading up to the arrest of BCCI chief's son-in-law only prove that the BCCI chief and CSK owner was cornered into "relinquishing" the Final match!

What is more amazing is that people still believe what they see on TV!

If the powers that be have any guts, there should be a thorough and fully transparent investigation into the whole 2013 I P L tournament!

If it can't be done, than it is proof that this tournament is the biggest scam!

Dhoni

Everyone knows that Dhoni was continued as Captain inspite of losing two series white wash due to support of Srinivasan because he was captain of Srinivasan's CSK.Mohendra Amarnath as Selection committee was removed by Srinvasan because he took the decision to remove Dhoni.Even the Selection committee has to toe Srinivasan's dictat.

Dhoni should be questioned by the Investigation agencies since Gurunath as owner was in the dugout with CSK and shared space with Dhoni during cricketers buy and other functions. No one is questioning Dhoni's integrity but he must have the spine to say that something horrible is wrong with Cricket in India and things must be set right and guilty punished. As he captain of Indian team he must say this much and not act as the paid sevant of Srinivasan.

What will happen if he speaks? Will he be removed as Captain? Situations bring out the true character and worth of an individual.Dhoni has failed the test.

It seems even Dhoni is involved in match fixing. His silence is proof of his involvement, like how Rajeev Shukhla, Arun Jaitely etc & Farroq Abdullah etc.

Silence on fixing

MS Dhoni is the captain of Indian Cricket team and our national player. Asking him to say about match fixing is simply a funny question. He is not a spokesperson of BCCI or anticorruption bureau.

As a captain of the national team, he must be having ideas or beliefs to sustain, to lead, to progress amidst turbulent times. No one's interested to know about Dhoni's knowhow on D-company's involvement in the issue, but, when asked about the team's spirit, etc, a true captain would definitely speak out - that's possible even without hurting some not-so-legal daddy of oneself. But alas! This fellow is Srini's not-so-legal sonny first, and captain, batsman, keeper or whatever comes to ones mind comes much later. And that's why he's still there. And as long that rhino-skinned businessman is in power, this dumb fellow would remain invincible.
