Action to be taken....
by VASUDEVAN V on May 27, 2013 01:47 PM

The following action to be taken immediately:
1. Remove Srinivasan as President of the BCCI and Rajiv Shukla as Commissioner of IPL. They have compromised the very working of the Board and the tournament.
2. Punish all those guilty without any favouritism. Do not make just the arrested three players scapegoats.
3. All ex-players who have received doles and favours from Srinivasan should return it to the Board and speak out their mind. It should come from their hearts. After all, cricket, which has fed them and given them, is being murdered by a few and these ex-cricketers, most of them treated as demi-Gods by the public, are maintaining silence that belies their position as icons of the game. Open up and be truthful to the game and not to Srinivasan. Srinivasan and his sil have brought the game into disrepute. Accept it and speak out the truth.
4. Instead of a separate anti-fixing law, which will only bring in more law-breakers and more bribe to those administering the law, legalise betting. That is the simple solution. Kapil Sibal is trying to win brownie points by bringing in a new law and showing his legal acumen instead of showing common sense and legalizing betting so that the mafia will be out. The Government can also earn revenue through legalized betting.
5. Kick out all politicians from BCCI and bring in men of integrity (and not ex-cricketers who are maintaining solid silence now!).

all claims of booking came at end of the season and even few bookings of last year why should we wait till the end of season and shoot up against people when crores of money saved already .

blaming one man Mr.Srinivasan not acceptable we need to rethink and discuss in details.

if he resign his post the scam will continue .

The spirit behind your suggestion is well understood, but the need of the hour is to plug all the loopholes in our laws, and not to empower the outlaws. The only way that would be possible is by pressurizing our elected representatives to be responsible and accountable!

Why everybody is silent on Shukla ?
by vr hari on May 27, 2013 12:08 PM  | Hide replies

He is the commissioner of IPL6 and it is his responsibility to have clean tournament. He failed. But surprisingly nobody is holding him responsible. Remember Lalit Modi was the commissioner and he was thrown out. Why silent on Shukla, cos he,s a politico....

What to call him. If he had a modicum of decency he should have resigned when he son in law and the leader of his CSK was arrested by the police. He would have bought BCCI members with IPL money

Mr.Nailesh Kumar: Chennai is in top in the CBSE results without Srinivasan or his s-i-l fixing it or betting on it. Srinivasan, along with Rajiv Shukla, should go for cleansing cricket administration in this country. And CSK should be banned from IPL as per the bye-laws of IPL/BCCI.

Nailesh Kumar, go and eat idli with your buddy Srinivasan. A blatant liar calling his son-in-law a mere enthusiast. CSK should be scrapped from IPL. Had it been any other team and its CEO being jailed, this your Srinivas (Chorvasan) would have done the same. Mind it!

Maybe, maybe not! But that "feeling" does not make his act any holy! As the head of the apex body of a sport, he is expected to be above such personal "feelings"! Shame on you, Srinivasan, and his "supporters"!

Nailesh, I am not saying CSK has to be scrapped. But I am only worried about Srinivasan making a mockery of the law. How can Srinivasan investigate his own son in-law? He was vacationing with his son in-law in Kodaikanal before his arrest. Now Srinivasan is announcing he will investigate his own son in-law. This is foolishness for everyone to accept.
