That is unfair. If you research, you will find all his big moments in the Indian subcontinent ... he is Bradman and Viv rolled into one in these placid tracks. Be fair to him.

We fail India
by hari ray on May 26, 2013 10:27 AM  | Hide replies

What I read these days in these forums is Tamils are steadfastly supporting Srinivasan. Had it been Shashank Manohar, Marathis would have done same, some Chatterjee, Bengalis would have done same, some Bindra, Punjabis would have done the same.

That is the tragedy of India. BTW, to my Tamil friends, y'day Hindu carried an editorial "Time to go Mr. Srinivasan" I am sure somebody will say that piece was written by a north Indian.

The issue is more about the the timing of the arrest. It is an open secret in our nation that any issue can be blown out of proportion or it can be left behind the carpet to wish of people in power and the corporates who control them. MI reaching final creates the doubt on this. As Dravid mentioned the enquiry needs to be done to the root and brought to light. No doubt there is big money involved in IPL.

The entire league should be banned. Every team will have a hand in betting and fixing. Stop watching IPL and save cricket.

I agree. Fixing, black money and other vices are so rampant. Srini even fixed the bidding process to get CSK advantage. In no sports, a team owner is the Regulator anywhere in the world.

Is it CHENNAI SUPER KINGS or CHENNAI SOODHATTA(GAMBLING) KINGS? It is unfortunate that the team which has BCCI President as their owner stoops to this level.
M.S.Dhoni, who is a real leader and team man of India should refuse to be part of CSK after this final. Not only him, but also all the players should not accept to be member of this CSK.
How many youngsters and school going children follow this gambling cricket thinking that they are playing real game?
CSK Cheeters Super Kings.

Don't worry, Chennai police may arrest some one in Mumbai Indians team before today's final match as Mumbai has acted as a hub for all the spot fixing!!! and could believe that someone would have involved in this fixing conspiracy...

I doubt the timing of the action made by "Mumbai" police against "Chennai CSK"

1. They called for an Inquiry after 5-30 PM on Friday, knowing that Saturday and Sunday is a Holiday for Court

2. The Mumbai Vs Chennai final match is scheduled on Sunday

I seriously doubt this mid night arrest conspiracy to demotivate Chennai CSK and favors Mumbai Indian

MI went and placed bets on behalf of Guruji Melleiappan ? Or did MI go and tell Vindoo to take bets on behalf of Guruji ? Or did MI go and get SIM cards based on forged documents for Guruji or did MI ask Guruji to hide in Papa in Law's home ? or did MI ask Guruji to lose 1 CR. this IPL ? In what way it has benefitted CSK in winning games? Please think. I can understand your frustration that your team has not been able to win a single IPL trophy. I could smell something burning.......in your stomach.

Pressure Tactics
by Mariappan Pillai on May 25, 2013 03:19 PM

Pressure tactics are used when one is not confident against the opponent. The timing of this creates all doubt about behind the screen activity. Let both the teams ignore all this and play a good cricket today evening.
