One thing is very clear. IPL is by the crooks, of the crooks and for the crooks.

Long live India and Long live Cricket.

Now that Gurunath is arrested, police better have strong evidence, else he has deep pockets to engage the best lawyers and come out on top. In addition, the investigations must be done on a transparent and impartial manner. Special efforts must be made to find out what Ambanis knew, when they knew it and what they did with what they knew. If betting really happened, I am certain that it would not have happened with out Ambanis not knowing. With their connections in middle east and for that matter the world over, their benamis must be knowing who were the bookies and corrupt officials on their pay books. Let Mumbai police have the courage of conviction and political non-interference to make a clean investigation to ensure the guilty are punished. This is a desire and hope of every sports loving individual.

the police would have had strong evidence against Meiyappam and that's why they insisted that he has to report before the deadline.
Probably, that's the reason why this fellow also wanted time till Monday?
