"apples...oranges...." is a cliche that is overused to try and hide the hugely inferior looks of Indian cheerleaders, models, actresses, 'glam girls', etc. as compared to those of their couterparts from the white world!

Both are irrelevant..
by Rajesh Shetty on May 22, 2013 02:31 PM  | Hide replies

Actually both are irrelevant. Can anyone tell me that other than merely copying some concept from some other country, do they really mean anything ? Maybe to some who want the feel of a dance bar in a pub, and in some ways promotes the commodification of women. Otherwise real cricket fans dont want any cheer girls; the thousands of fans themselves are the true cheerleaders of the game. And people who really find dancing enjoyable, are better off going to a musical nite than a sporting event. Most of the problems with IPL is not with the format or the rules, but are related to the grooming of a 'casino-culture' inside the stadium, almost converting it into a gambling den, a pub, a dance bar and often a hotspot for black money and hawala operators.
