On whose complaint police is framing Sreesanth?
by Venugopal Nair on May 19, 2013 06:47 PM  | Hide replies

On whose complaint Police and investigating agencies arrested Sreesanth and other Cricketers?

Police can't just show some reason to arrest anyone.

If there is a problem with Sreesanth enjoying North Indian women, someone should have complained against him. Just bcos of enjoying North Indian women, Police can't just go and hunt them.

Neither BCCI nor IPL has concerns
by Venugopal Nair on May 19, 2013 06:44 PM  | Hide replies

Neither BCCI nor IPL has concerns with betting and fixing. Even Sports ministry doesn't look approached Police or any other state investigating agency to help them.

Why Police hunted Sreesanth specifically?

Why police is in hurry?
by Venugopal Nair on May 19, 2013 06:41 PM  | Hide replies

Did anyone file a complaint? Why police dogs are showing this much interest?

If Sreesanth committed any blunder, it doesn't effect the interests of the nation nor the police. Why police is showing vehement desire to frame Sreesanth?

Surely, any man will be lured if a girl next doors offers sex, tape it and then use it as a threat that if you don't do the needful, your reputation will be tarnished. This is blackmail surely. The modus operandi is same for ages used by the underworld. Who will protect these players from protecting from threats from the underworld? It happened in 1987 world cup (reliance cup)as well. The opening batsman of the indian team was allegedly involved in throwing away the semifinals. Nothing was done against him, and he is scott free minting millions if not billions from other associated activities of the game. Do you guys remember it? Our memories are very weak and so it goes on mates. Watch it as a 'game' rather than a 'sport' as indian captain says all the time.

It goes beyond him. I am talking of alleged involvement of Sunil Gavaskar's relatives who were involved in fixing reliance world cup in 1987. So, no one is clean

There was a full article in all leading newspapers of India including tribune mentioning of various signal used in 1987 world cup. Unfortunately tribune online edition is only upto 1998. this article was in 1987. I kept the copy with myself but lost it. If someone wants to pursue, I am sure tribune office in Chandigarh will give you a copy of that article which is an eye opener

BAN THEM AND GET THE BOOKIES BY THE COLLAR
by albin abraham on May 19, 2013 06:30 PM  | Hide replies

Its not only important for the players to be banned and the bookies to be jailed, the higher syndicate must be extradited if it leads to pak or any other country.

Secondly the delhi police must not laud off their achievements too much.
Since May 2000 max fixing scandal its 13 yrs since...what were the crime patrol teams f our country doing then..you might as well secure the safety of our women first then worry of this syndicate later

With call girls offered as a bait and then blackmailed with videos, any public figure will fall into the trap. Why do you blame the players? By banning these players from playing cricket, are you going to eradicate corruption from cricket? I agree that these cricketers should not be allowed to participate in IPL cricket, but there is no point in crucifying them. They should have gone to their team managers when the blackmail threat was issued - but then they could have got killed or seriously injured by the mafia, never to play cricket again - who knows? Will the IPL board give them protection if they report against the mafia? These people have a long reach - cricket administrators, police and politicians.
Wherever there is money, there is corruption and mafia will take hold of the system. This is India.

I think all these IPLs are waste of time and money and should be banned, 53 days long, headache for security personnel and loss of million dollars foreign exchange, burning thousands of aviation fuel in hauling players, no other country can afford this, this is the best vacation, just play 203 hours play per match,

by Hebbar R on May 19, 2013 06:20 PM  | Hide replies

Many ex-cricketers and BCCI top brass have expressed shock. Surprising!!!. They are just trying to fool people. The general perception is that even the matches are rigged. Now it is upto the BCCI to prove to the people that they are not being cheated to this magnitude.

Spot Fixing happened Bcoz. BCCI does not take antidisciplinery action against Azruddin Ajay Jadeja Nayan Mongya and Ajay Sharma who were involved in Match Fixing. Why BCCI not appled In Supreme Court Against Azruddin the judgment against Hydrabad Court who was involved in match Fixing.
This clearly indicating that BCCI Members involved in Match Fixing and Spot Fixing.
