Laws on match fixing are not deterrent enough in India?
by subhash phadkar on May 19, 2013 01:45 PM

Confession before police by the accused followed by discovery of evidence in documentery proof and other relevant evidence is strong enough to standup against the judicial scrutiny to secure conviction.Three months jail is mockery of the seriousness of the crime. In England the Pakistan players were jailed for more than a year and some of them were banned for life from playing international cricket when found committing this sort of crime of match fixing.

This greedy player done the crime for money our law should give unforgettable punishment to this trio by sentencing them to 5 years of jail imprisonment and also confiscate & seize all the money they earned till date from cricket .. this will give lesson to all before they do this type of thing...

How about giving the same punishment to our politicians who have looted 175000 crores in one scam. However Raja, Kalmadi, Kanimozhi are heroes and treated like VIPs.

Bansal takes 90 lakh for one posting and has made hundreds of crores, possibly thousands, and all he gets is he is removed from his portfolio. 2G case..what happened? Coalgate...what happened? These are several thousand crore scams. Nothing happens. And we have aam aadmi talking about exemplary punishment for 'alleged' cheating by cricketers for 40 lakh rupees and 60 lakh rupees!

No wonder Indian politicans make a complete fool out of duffer Indians. Indians deserve to remain a third world nation because of this third rate mentality. Keep getting very excited about little things, and keep worshipping the big crooks like ministers.

Very true. Exemplary punishment is only for the small time bakras. The really corrupt bigfish including son-in-law get no punishment. You are 100% right about india being a 3rd world country and indians being duffers.
