Its not very demoralizing....if the ministers are involved in thievery to such great deal, then Sreesanth hasn't committed any grave crime. For this, suspension for few years could be the best penalty. But I agree with all others who want the the legal system to focus more on the other more dreadful situations of our society. Can't the police bring the corrupt leaders under the the survellience? Who would punish them??

Sreesanth's future ???
by Bharat on May 17, 2013 11:38 AM

No one should get excess worried about SreeSanth's future now that he has got caught ( those who don't get caught are smart and are not criminal -as per Indian Law). His father is also not that much worried - bated beautifuly for his son yesterday securng his future by acusing Dhoni And Bhaji ( its a work of north indians against a shouth walla) . Sreesanth will surely get a ticket of Tharoor and Sunanda Party from Keral like Azhar got - Congress has a reputaion of providing shelter to all such poor ,victimized dubisious characters as it made of such elements - more obviously when Shukla is there.

Sreesant and his pride
by Jose Kailath on May 17, 2013 11:32 AM  | Hide replies

"Pride goes before a fall".Sreesant's extra innings was always awkward. He would have realized his shortcomings much earlier.Even his family members have contributed enough towards his career destroyed.A lesson to all youngsters with talent, becoming celebrity overnight,to remain composed and decent.Howsoever Sreesants's arrest is not going to correct game fixing. The pipeline may be miles long.

He is from a good family. They have given a great bowler for the country. As Greg Chappel observed, the kid lacks emotional intelligence. It is a patho or shortcoming often inherited. He is not socially very smart and subject to exploitation. With all the effort the family put in raising the child; food, regimen, training and space for a genuine athlete, their knowledge and awareness of his emotional issues is poor.

His coaches and team members could have befriended him and addressed these issues in a very empathic way. But this never happened.

There is no blame on Dhoni. But he should have tried to address Sreesanths EI issues. They exploited him and left him out.. A shame ...

Yes I totally agree with you.. From day 1 every one knew that he was a different character and needed some guidance... but I am sure it never happened. Wonder what BCCI was doing.. they at least should have employed sports psychologists like they do in west to help him out.

I am in no way defending sreesanth for what he did. But this whole episode shows how much BCCI cares for the players!!!!!

IPL Fixing

How come no one is talking abt the match between CSK and MI where CSK were bowled out for 92 or so...and keeping in mind their current form dont u think that this was fixed and helped the MI in their quest to qualify? and i think that SRH will qualify for the playoffs so that there will be 2 teams from chennai...one a chennai based one and the other team's owner is from chennai

Dear Ramesh Ji,
Do you know about the game of cricket?
It is called game of uncertainty.
One good ball can go to the boundry line and one bad delivery can produce wicket...
Don't try to see fixing in every thing of your life.
Just enjoy..
