if a bowler asked to bowl a deliberate no ball or wide, its possible. but if he is asked give away 13 runs without no ball or wide, then how is it possible?
Sreesanath has been deliberately mal-treated. Instead of providing psychaitric help he needed for a long time, they have completed undermined a promising youngster.
He is fluid bowler, far better than Madan Lal, Manoj Prabhakar, Chetan Sharma, Binny and many other avarage bowler that played for India.
They first ignored him instead of helping him. They beat him on the field to undermine his self-confidence and now they trap him when he need psychiatric help.

It is no easy as you say. He does not need to go to a mental hospital. He needed a lot of empathy and support. Accepting the issue is the first move. The article itself is titled, "Self-Destructive". Who would do that? He had a high degree of motivation to succeed in a country which is thankless..

There are grey areas of emotional issues that most Indians don't get it. Either the guy is good or send him to the hospital where he can only get worse. Helping him in relational, emotional issues and sports psychotherapy would have helped him so much.

What does it have to do with him being a Malayali. I hope you know that Kerala has produced some of the best athletes known in India.
Read about Jimmy and George Jose, Yohannan, Suresh Kumar, PT Usha, Shiny Abraham and the list is endless.
Delphi Police seems to be very keen cricket followers. First Cronje and then this. No wonder Delhi streets are not safe. Wasting their time on useless IPL matches
When the Prime Minister of the country is himself involved in Coal scam and asking CBI to change the investigation report. What you can expect from that country!!
Recently he has been talking a lot against Dhoni and BCCI hence they have definitely fixed him. I have not much idea about Sreesanth but I don't trust Dhoni and BCCI integrity
