In the post match interview rohit sharm was saying -"from the first ball we bowled we played aggressive ..yaaa. that is how we play our cricket ...." this fool should contemplate what he has spoken .. Judging Dravid out by that bhopal umpire sudhir asnani ...it seems like he has eye sight problems ..these people should be banned from umpiring ....

In my opinion any player who can clear ropes easily is a great player because he can put pressure on bowlers and easily score singles next ball and carry on like this to score big.The big hitters are always handy in tests also.Loyd,Richards,Jayasurya,Gayle,Sehwag,Hayden,KP and recently Warner.Players like Lara,Sachin,Ponting,ABDV could play very agressive cricket. But what is wrong with Pollard or Miller is they can hit very hard but not good in testing conditions compared to their predecessors.Lack of first class cricket experience will be a set back for players like Pollard.Example even at prime form he struggled against Steyn in the match VS SRH

sour grapes!!!
by RJP on May 16, 2013 03:34 PM  | Hide replies

Although I respect and admire Dravid, but this is not done!! He's talking as if Watson is a saint!! Moreover, its not only Pollard who celebrated the way he did yesterday, but there are many players who have done this before, and it will continue to happen going forward. I believe in WHATEVER HAPPENS ON THE FIELD, STAYS ON THE FIELD!! Just forget it and move on...no need to whine about it!!! Moreover, Dravind himself agrees that it all evens out in the end, so may be this act of Pollard was or will be evened out!! No hard feelings!!!

What nonsense!

Yesterday's match and all the other home matches of Mumbai Indians have been bought!

I P L is a joke!

Dravid is right in complaining about the cheap antics of both the Mumbai Indians players and those clown umpires who officiated the match!

T20 games have shorter boundaries
by vilas apte on May 16, 2013 12:18 PM  | Hide replies

The boundary line in T20 is shortened,so that more 4's & 6's are scored, thus raising the run rate. It is not necessary that batsmen excelling in T20 games will also excel in tests. However there are exceptions -like DeVilliers,Gayle,Kohli.Pollard is a rank failure in the test format, because apart from his heaves, he has hardly a cricket book shot,& his heaves are caught on the boundary, due to extended ground limits, in tests. Dravid, possibly the most gentleman player ever in cricketing annals, has objected to Pollard's antics yesterday after Watson's dismissal, yes indeed it was bizarre.

Mr Dravid - Pls come clean on your tactics yesterday.
1. Give Ankeet the new ball
2. Send Faulkner as pinch hitter when target is only 167
3. Send Brad Hodge, the highest scorer in T20, at number 8

Delhi Police should now be after Emotion Fix, there seems to be a huge betting racket on how an individual player would react after a dismissal. This is the new trend. Ofcourse you know what has happened to the 3 RR players overnight...

This Polard fails everytime he bats in test format
by pradeep agarwal on May 16, 2013 12:02 PM  | Hide replies

These big hits are nothing but gifts as fielders are all inside circle but for 2 in play off & 4 after that. The same players including Gayle finds boundaries dried no sooner they encounter pacers on level playing field in test matches.T20 is a batsman game who can use the bat like a baseball club & fear for nothing

Have u ever played cricket or a couch potato? The sixes these players hit will clear any boundary. Heck they clear the stadium sometimes. What are you moaning about?

Now it's becoming a style to show some antics to grab TV attention. Mostly Bowlers does this.
One should follow the antics of Dale Stern,Mitchel Johnson but not Shreesant.A smile towards your opponent is more sporting.

Pollard's behavior disgraceful
by archana dass on May 16, 2013 11:33 AM  | Hide replies

I totally agree with Dravid that Pollard's antics was unacceptable! I'm myself a MI fan but am feeling ashamed of Pollard's behavior. It was unnecessary. Celebration with team mates is fine but Pollard's celebration was disgraceful. When you play well there's no need to stoop to such antics! I am truly truly ashamed my team

Dravid talks as if he is a saint. he is the biggest fraud of all and we call him a gentleman. Notice he always chews a candy in the bowling spell of RR and rubs the ball with that..Is this fairplay...I wonder it has been noticed by all and still no one complains

Dont be ashamed. It is good to give back what u get. Watson is not saint. Dravid is no saint either. He never spoke against players like Andre nel, Slater etc. Now he is hungry to play few more years in IPL to fill his overflowing coffers some more. Pollard may be coward but Dravid is greedy old bird. Wall with more holes than a strainer.
