I want MI or RR to win
by B M on May 14, 2013 10:53 AM  | Hide replies

My team is MI. But if MI were not to win, I want RR to win...for the sake of Rahul Dravid. He deserves more fame and recognition than what he has received. I will be happy if RR win IPL under his captaincy. It will be a perfect slap on Mallya's face for shunting him out of RCB.

Very well said. I too feel the same. RR should win the IPL. Why shudn't mallya have retained Dravid and given him the captaincy. Mallya shud have had Stuart Binny & Robin uttappa as well !!

Why do you know cricket ? Steyn bowled extremely well. And Sachin Smith batted well to survive initial overs of quality bowlers so that pinch hitters like Pollard are less exposed to them. Then Poloard and Rohit finished that well. Had Pollard exposed to quality bowlers story would have been different. It is team work.

Tendulkar had already completed the wearing down of the seamers. At that point more acceleration was needed and at this age and form, he could not stepped on further. Continuing at just over run a ball (as he was doing) was not enough. Had he continued, he would have perhaps stayed a bit longer and finally got out for say 55 of 49 or 50 balls. That would have left the later batsmen with lesser overs to play. Sachin's retiring hurt was very timely and turned the match for Mumbai.

People who are hurting are not his fans, they are those people who have jealous from his success. They can't do anything in their lives but can suggest people like Sachin to retire.
