his religion also has stricter views as interpreted by taliban no music, full long beard, I wonder how he's still playing as there are scantily clad cheer leaders who are part of the team - so will he not object to it ? i wonder if he is also not averse to receiving money and its interest ? he's also wearing western clothes and a LOT of things not prescribed by his religion!!!

Eslaam is not which is projected by Taalibaan.Music then sufi saints have praised lord by their rhyms. Beard is optional not compulsory, Dress code changes with geographical regions.More logic shd be applied rather then getting sentiments involved.
I wonder in TV shows and films people attack their own beleif / sentiments / g'ds but other people never oppose - while a crickter respect his belief only for his good sake instead of apprciating people start to comments.
Good to see a beleiver, But will he donate his earnings as per his religion,NOT at all. This is what hurts others. The followers do the negatives not positives of the religion.

U dont have anything but chanting Sushil Kumar's name. What civilized society are you talking about? The ones where girlchild is killed for fear of dowry? or where khaps conduct honour killings in broad daylight? or where women are raped in drunken state?Grow up man.... learn to respect others beliefs.. He is just sticking to his beliefs.... And would you comment in the same manner if tomorrow beef selling company sponsors a team and H*n*u players refuse to wear it?

what civilized society are YOU talking about ? one where you can marry as many and not take care of your children, and then ask the state for doles ? or keep them hidden in burkhas while the men are a lecherous pack hunting women of other religion ? as if rapes are by hindus only ? why should anyone drag religion into sport ? religion should be private affair.

He is being paid for his cricketing abilities, not for wearing logos. Hasim Amla does the same when playing for South Africa and no one has the guts to stop him. And if tomorrow a beef selling company sponsors any team, would you comment in the same manner?

first mistake is to join the team sponsored by the liquor company. he's a plain hypocrite, who will do anything for money, but raise some hackles about his religion once he is in the team

the team owners must be in trouble, if they fire him, then he becomes martyr and his entire community and foot soldiers like you will be on the streets. i bet this rasshole dint mention he'd be wearing his religion on his sleeve
by doing so..he has made a strong case for a place in indian team...dis religion prohibition n all vll freeze wid d passage f time..subject to his performance at d international level...grow up kid...

What he can hide just by taping it? the brand or his rlgn? Though taped, the brand is still known to everyone while others have it at the same place
If he was a great follower of rlgn, he shouldn't have worn the shirt at all or should have g uts to ask for a shirt without the logo
