Why???

What is the need to do this?

It is more logical to name the box after some renowned commentator or a cricketer of yore.

What has this "gentleman's" contribution to cricket been - other than his goons digging up pitches?

Why don't you go to Mumbai and say what you said in Dadar or Parel area?!

Why name it after a goonda?? Frankly, he was only that and nothing more.

Naming of cricket stand

I wonder why iconic commentators who contributed to the grassroots popularity of cricket from the grassroots before the advent of TV should not have stadia or stands named after them? Pearson Surita, Bobby Talyearkhan and Berry Sarbadhikari come to mind.
