i went to google.. checked there are very recent pics that are under rediff database showong shiva...
i dont know why they went in to achieve and pull a picture like this... which you dont need a article to tell the viewers what they are trying to convey..
never take racist weopon always.. if they are racist.. never mind.. dont try to put it as big news.. since majority of indians dont care abt it

rediff journalist morons have always been anti-tamil in many ways and this article stands a testimony to that. They could have pulled in one of those recent pics of shiva from the ongoing IPL or gotten away with a pic at all, as most of the cricket enthusiasts know who he is by face. This is a purposefully created article just to get more clicks, based on the pics. Rediff has always been at the bottom most level of journalism for a few years of later, and this is easliy one of their junk pieces.

1) This article talks about Siva's credibility as an administrator and not as a cricketer. Hence basic journalism funda is that, you got to post a pic that is relevant to the contents and rediff have just done the opposite.
2. If at all you choose to post an earlier pic, of all the material available of their database and net, couldn't they find a good image of his ? (When you are asked to give a photo of yours, would you give the one that is more presentable or the one you took when you woke up ? )

No..you still didn't get my point. You dont look the same at all times and in front of all lens. Had they talked about his bowling exploits in the 80s and posted this pic, I am perfectly fine with it. This pic was totally out of place. Remember - 'dress to the occasion' concept ..same applies here too.
