First it was Ishant Sharma conceding 65 runs in 4 overs, then Umesh Yadav conceding 65 runs and now it is the turn of India's ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin conceding 23 runs in just one over turning the match on its head ! Both Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav tend to stray on to the pads more often and have little control on their line and length. Death overs bowling is certainly not their strength which are equally crucial even in 50 overs game. As far as Ashwin, he appears to be immature and not learning from mistakes.As an off-spinner instead of bowling plain off-spinners outside off-stumps as a rule he bowls them more as an exception. He keeps experimenting trying too many things.. the comical pause.. bowling middle and leg-stump line more often. After his flop show during England and Pak series it was thought that he had learnt his lessons and improved to do better in the Aus series but his pathetic performance in IPL yet again raises question mark on his abilities as a front bowler for team India. In fact most of the spinners in IPL have bowled better than Ashwin and few of them have bagged double the no. of wickets Ashwin has managed. Given this background and that our bowlers will be facing likes of ABD,Miller,CG…. In the league stages itself the prospects do not appear to be any good for the Indian side in CT.

His slow batting in 2009/10/12 wcups caused many loss for India as he can’t stricke ball from start & his strike rate is pathetic 109 in T-20 intl. Never deserve a place in T-20 intnl team based on merit.

Nice to see dhoni back kicked by Jhonson & watson. Lets hope Gyle does the same in next match & pray no fixer like RP singh in RCB this time to help his friend politicain dhoni. Dhoni is always a flop with bat on lively wicket. He can score only on flat trcak

Ashwin will keep playing and also even Bhajji has been more potent he will be sidelined. Mind it if India loses in CT than Bhajji will surely be back for next series...thats how it will go...

Bhajji is having such a great IPL that teams are afraid of facing him! And he deserves to captain India team as his record in SA, Eng and Aus is absolutely phenomenal. Unfortunately the selectors are giving a youngster Ashwin too much chance, they should instead persist with all old players, especially stars like Bhajji. With Bhajji to lead bowling, and Tendu for batting Indian team will be feared esp in SA, Aus.

With one fast paced pitch our great captain Dhoni and his fav players Raina, Jadeja, Ashwin failed miserably. This shows that all these flat track bullies who can win only in Chennai, will have a torrid time in SA.

This comment is insane. If the wicket is flat, it is flat for everyone. In T20, the hard hitters fare well than the skilled batsmen. So, just enjoy the game instead of spreading the venom and hatred.

If you are so capable why dont you go and play the game instead of being a keyboard warrior? We all know Dravid for 10 years now and why this hype at this point? He is one of the great players that India produced and not the ONLY one. No one can debate that Dhoni has the ODI WC in his credit. No one claims that he is a great batsman. But he does the job when needed unlike the Tendi plays for records.

tendulkar record is much better than dhoni when needed. Dhoni perform 3-4 times a year & keep his place in all fprmat of game for last 8 yrs

CSK won only 4 matches at Chepauk, and RR also won because of Watson. Everyone - Rahane, Dravid etc failed, only hard hitting of Binny and Watson saw them through. Are we planning to take Watson to the team to SA?

Till now when others perform,CSK/India wins.It was highlighted by the foolish media & former players it was the talent of Dhoni. Dhoni praised himself in all wins & for failure he blamed others.ie bowlers/batsmen in any format of game.For the past 2 years he brought shame to India by losing 4-0 in Eng& Aust. He has hardly contributed to the wins. If you find he will promote himself if openers perform if not he will bat at lower order & ran out himself or his partners. He will also use the foolish media to side line players like Karthik/raidu/gambhir/rohit etc who are potential threat o him. In India he is the only player who is hyped by Media like anything & all his mistakes were hidden. He can't be in even in A team of Aus/Eng/SA or any other country
