PEOPLE HAVE MADE CAREER OUT OF EULOGIZING SACHIN
by damodaran mohan on May 03, 2013 05:27 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin Tendulkar has been one of the greatest cricketers no doubt but fact the matter is many other ex-cricketers and experts like Ravi Shastri have made a career out euologizing of the little master's cricketing life. These hangers on and sychophants have virtually carved out for themselves a career out of 'Glorify-Sachin' club where there is none.Although Sachin has lost all his cricketing prowess but still these is no dearth of such sychophants keeping the hype for their own selfish ends.In fact Sachin is a spent force for quite some time now so much so that because of this weak link there is real danger of MI missing the Play offs.Time for Mi to take hard decision if they want to either have the chance of winning IPL trophy or retain Sachin. They can't have both.

Best Time to Retire
by chandra sekhar on May 03, 2013 04:25 PM

Because he is from mumbai he can play till he wants, if it is ganguly, dravid or laxman, they are old and from other states they need to retire. Even greates like kapil, binny & madan lal were as to retire by board. only reason they are not from mumbai. If he is from mumbai he was play life long, no age bar but for other 30 plus itself they are too old particulary for Gavaskar.

Dear Ravi

It would be better to say in last 100 years there has been no player like Sachin instead of predicting future 100 years.

I remember Gavaskar's words, retire when the fans ask why? dont let it come to why not, Dravid went with honour and it is common knowledge that he has played more match winning innings than any other player of his time.
Sachin should now gracefully retire and allow a younger talent to play for our country.

Sachin should have retired after world cup win gracefully.
He would have been respected and held in high esteem for the rest of his life.
Now he has to retire of his own or will have to be dropped by selectors.
Both situation will be painful..
Because in any case Sachin is going to loose all the respect which he has accumulated all his life.
Also already he has lost the respect and so after retirement nobody is going to remember as he has delayed it too far..
Once he was a role model. Now he is a joker and villain.
He is going to rue his blunder of not retiring on time rest of his life..
Poor Guy...

Sachin continuing playing cricket
by Nepal Sen on May 03, 2013 02:34 PM  | Hide replies

He is a national hero. But he does not know when to stop. It is ridiculous that even when your days are gone then also you are continuing simply riding on the sentiment of people.

I fully agree .selectors should take courage & drop him before his own fans cry for his retirement. He should follow dravid & retire gracefully.

He has already done lot of damage to Indian cricket by sicking on with his bat with poor form. Now Nita Ambani is paying the price for his poor form in IPL. Sachin's coffers are bulging with gold.

That's great. I hope we never get one like him. The man is being a dead load on the team now and still refuse to retire. I do agree he was great but look at him now..

Why does not the cricket board kick him out. There is every reason that he must be bribing the selectors to keep him in the playing squard.

SA series, the final frontier
by Narayanan Mahalingam on May 02, 2013 03:41 PM

The SA fast bowlers will tear this ex maestro to shreds. If the joker Ishant Sharma can run rings around SRT, Steyn and Morkel will ruin his happiness for good.
He will have nowhere else to hide post December this year.
Let our man enjoy the pre retirement days. SA pacers will take care of the rest.
