Dhoni as a batsman
Test Avg over all 39.0, Test avg overseas 28.0, No overseas century or match winning inning in test carrer even after playing 77 test.
T-20 Strike rate- 113, No fifty or match winning inning in entire career even after playing 42 matches
ODI- Good avg manipulated due to no. of not out innings & manipulative batting position. Even in ODI most runs scored on flat indian wicket against team like Pak/SLK & no overseas century.
Dhoni overseas ODI avg is just 39 with no match winning inning. If you remove his no. of not out innings(52 times), his avg drops less than 35 even in ODI.
As a wicketkeeper- Dropped catches in almost every match.

Dhoni test average outside
In WI 2006, 24
In SA 2006, 26
In AUS 2007, 17.62
In SA 2011, 35.8 ( one inning of 90 when styen/morkel was kept out of attack for 2-3 hrs)
In WI 2011- 19.5
( score of 0,16,2, 5 & 74(only one good inning when WI was operating with bowlers like bishoo/chandrapaul & front line bowler rampaul/shammi etc was resting due to injury).
In Eng 2011- 30.0
In Aus 2012- 20.0
As a captain good record only on indian pitches. Overseas he has lost more test matches(09) than what he won(05)
Win includes SLK, Bng, WI & NZL.
All other wicketkeeper batsman like Mat prior, Mclumn, Deviller, sangarkara are worldclass & have many match winning overseas inning while mediocre dhoni has none. He is simply made by add agency, media & political fans by hyping his small succ

after scoring his 100th that too against bangladesh on a flat track , he stated that since he was on top of his game, he is not selfish to quit.

after eng & aus failures at home , he still is on top of his game , so it will be selfish to quit now. more over bcci contract money will stop coming if he were to announce his retirement

Tendulkar
by vasu jose on Mar 26, 2013 09:21 AM  | Hide replies

you should know no one is indispensable in this world. The old order always changeth giving place to new. Sachin do not have the years with him. and if he goes its not that the Indian cricket will end with him either. Sourav, Dravid, Kumble and Laxman were once considered pillars in Indian Cricket they are not now in the scene it doesnt mean Indian Cricket has not filled upe thier places. Instead playing Sachin you are declining a youngster of his rightful claim to the team. Other countries never think abot individuals. Ponting was no less important to the Australians than Tendulkar to us still they have been able to drop him and look ahead. and what you say about performing abroad, India has always struggled in foreign pitches barring a few matches and that includes Tendulkar too. So guys please think before you take the cause of Tendulkar.

the so called greatest batsman who failed miserably at home, after 24 years of experience & 190 odd tests , against bowlers who were not sure of their selection & were in & out of team ( panesar , lyon etc )will not be able to cross 5 against SA bowlers in SA.

His fans are happy if he is able to cross 10 these days.

Don't Agree with Mr. Srinivasan
by Ajeet Singh on Mar 26, 2013 12:46 AM  | Hide replies

Dear Mr. Srinivasan,

I do not agree with what you say. He use to be great but has degraded himself to the standards of good players in the last 3 years. Even though some ex-cricketers and selection committee gives unconditional support to Sachin but the fact remains he has become a VERY ORDINARY BATSMAN off late and I am sure in your heart you too agree to this.

he will neither quit nor you will drop him till he plays his 200th test match, another milestone for him but this will not please many as we are no more interested in his records.

It is a shame that his failures are not seen as failures, poor handling of Bhajji by Dhoni in the test matches are not taken seriously, yoiu people can only be tough with Sehwag, Gautam, Yuvraj, Bhajji, etch but when it comes to real decision making you all fail JUST LIKE SACHIN.

Couldn't agree more. Though all players put thier self-interest before national interest, Sachin is exploiting the Indian emotional fools. It is considered blasphamous to criticise him. But the fact remains that he has failed India big time since the last world cup. I have not seen him hitting a winning run for India. He is struggling big time and his form is at the lowest ebb. Why can't he do the right thing and make way for some youngsters. Oh! I hreard you the "endorsements" will desert him and he will become poor.
