When they find his performance is really bad on the field they claim he is there as mentor, psychologist, cook, masseur, nappy changer...agreed he may be good at all this but does he have to be in the playing eleven to fulfil these roles ?
I am not a big fan of Sachin but with over 23 years in cricket and so many records I do respect him a lot. I don't understand how many times he will have to prove himself. He was booed in his home ground, yet he gained the respect he deserved. Most of the guys calling his retirement, do you know the meaning of passion. Today cricket enjoys viewership a lot of that is because of this guy. If he retires or not doesn't matter but when he retires we need to understand that we were all privileged to watch a legend. I personally believe he has at least one year of cricket with him but he understands cricket than anyone of us so it has to be and will be his call. We can speculate and try to make some news out of it, but the man has the final say.
The greatest player is just a shadow of his old self. We will need him in South Africa as we will need his experience to assure the young players. India will trounce South Africa the way we destroyed Australia. SA had enough problem handling hapless Pakistan. There is no way they can beat Indian team

I really hope India will not have another Sachin, if country has to put up with suchCrap. I can't believe Ravi Shastri and gang were still doing Sachin Bhajan at the end of the 4th test..
No wonder why we're so incosistence eventhough cricket is the sport for 1.2 billions people..
