Kotla pitch
by Ashwin on Mar 22, 2013 05:50 PM

The way the tail enders are batting, it looks if they can seal the match in 4 days. We will have to wait & see how our batsmen, score in their 1st innings, to wind them within 2nd innings

Its fair to have pitches to suit home side!!
by Rajesh K on Mar 22, 2013 02:40 PM

It is not really a crime to prepare a pitch to suit the home team as every country does the same when teams visit. But what I feel today is, can India survive and score more than what Aussies have scored here or will this boomerang...Have to wait and see for two more days

Why does Australia keep electing to bat first?

Are these inbreds so dumb to understand that they are a complete failure on this tour?

They have been warned by former Australian players that the Indian team is made up two parts ...... one part is the actual players and the other is of the ground staff which doctor the pitches to help the Indian players!

What do you call the people who keep repeating the same mistake even after they were warned about it before committing the mistake?

no need to criticise indian grounds staff. Do you mean to say in Australia the pitches are made suitable to visitors ? In fact Australia has taught us to do this...

"In fact Australia has taught us to do this..."
you must say that Australia 'forced' us to do this. The BCCI and the corporate houses that run cricket and its superstars in India need to keep their brand ambassadors in good light as super heroes because of the multi-million dollar endorsements bestowed upon them.
Those who claim that preparing doctored spin-friendly wickets for visiting teams from outside the subcontinent is in response to preparing green-tops when the Indian team tours those countries must recollect what happened in New Zealand in 2002-2003 when India toured that country. The pitches on which that series was played were absolute green-tops in every sense of the word. They were doctored pace/seam wickets. The Indian batsmen including Sachin, Dravid, Laxman, Ganguly and Sehwag were at their prime, and still they were pulverized by the likes of Bond, Tuffey and Oram.
Those who think the Indians play on doctored wickets when they tour Australia would be better-off if they just imagine what would have happened if the Perth or Gabba or Melbourne wickets had been doctored and made pace/seam friendly.
No doubt....atleast 5 or 6 of the Indian superstars would have suffered broken bones or smashed teeth.. Siddle, Pattinson, Starc, Johnson, Cummins...on a doctored Perth wicket...against the Indians....Just think about it.
PEACE
