If Rahaane being a top batsmen in domestic is not given opportunity in eleven, then there is nothing unfair and political thing than this. He deserves a chance in test cricket compared to Raina who misused chances in the past. And also it will damage his confidence etc. It high time Dhoni forget about his CSK pets
Two able sports administrators TN has gifted to our country. Jyothi Kumaran used sell india births to hocky players. Srini buys player for CSK and then inducts them into Indian team.

its all dhoni politics & not srini. Raina, RP singh, chawla etc are his best friends & keep getting chances in indian team
Tiwari and all non Tamil / non CSK players should play for Bangladesh if they want to play international cricket (have to sacrifice IPL money in that case).
Once their playing days over, can come back to India as wife remains Indian citizen.

as if teewari and mannuvari are welcomed in bangladesh, they will never sacrifice IPL because IPL is their bread and jam..

Even talented csk player badrinath never gets chance reason he is not dhoni mate
Rahane got few chance but failed? Why Tiwari didn't get any chance? He is not tamil or CSK player or Dhoni's favorite. Of all these quota players, only Ashwin will survivie in long run (and when Arun Jaitly takes over BCCI) ... rest will follow Sadgopan Ramesh, WBV Raman way.

Hi Hari, Rahane when gievn the opportunity to play ODIs have tried to cement his place as a hard hitting batsman and that has resulted in mixed performances from him so far. But we have to accept the fact that he has in him what is required to be a member of the playing eleven.
Ashwin somehow has not been very impressive rather he is inconsistent. Very ordinary bowler if the pitch has some dew. In short he needs pitches with dust and with that he used his height well. Let us see what he does in SA because his past records overseas is very very bad.

Good thoughts ... I agree. Ashwin is just better of these tamil/CSK quote players that Srini/Dhoni pushing unashamedly.

As long as Tendulkar blocks a place there is no chance for Rahane or Raina-one of them will have to sit out. We are ahead 3-0. Why not try another youngster? This old clique of Zaheer/Bhajji/Sehwag/Gautam/Dravid/Ganguly/Laxman/Sachin-their days are over

yes dhoni should be replaced by kartik or patel. But this manipulator politicain never allow any wktkeeper player getting selected even in 16. what a sahme. he is blocking path for so many younsgters
Re: Re: Where is Rahane?

you are big idiot. very big idiot. check Raina's batting data in test/odi and compare with dravid/lax/dada.
manoj tiwari don't get a single chance (after scorong ODI hundred) and raina/rohit/Vijay get chance after chance ... that is not fair.

No need to be offensive, Sir. I ahve stated my views, you state yours withour mouthing such words. Point is youngsters need to be tried and among the oldies only Sachin remains. Maybe Unmukt Chand could have been drafted. Rohit was given too many chances. Yes, why not Manoj Tewary??

I am sorry for if I hurt you. You are entitled to your opinion even if that is a very juvenile opinion. Clique has a negative connotation and those guys played on their performance. Beating 2001 Aussies and 2013 Aussies are two different things.

There is always an old boys club everywhere-I know I am 59 years old so calling my opinion juvenile I find it funny.Nobody denies their contribution in the past but there is a tendency to hang on and it is the selectors job to ensure the old depart and the young move in gracefully

Poor boy is sitting on the benches for past 2 years, if he join CSK may be MSD can think about it.
Sorry state.. even after winning the series...the selectors do not want to experiment - why can't they rest tendulkar, dhoni, virat, ishant and try out a few others .. India rarely finds itself in such a good situation which allows us to experiment.

yes, you are right to most extend ,but who is capable captain replacing dhoni.. yes dhoni behind wickets is in pathetic condition... but not bad in batting as he has regained form
Re: sad scene
by Khandoji Naik on Mar 20, 2013 10:20 AM
Why are we talking about rest players. when India is ahead 3-0 in series think of 4-0...go for it..why rest...match winners...crush them..do the A ustralian way and no Indian way...
You have young Mukund, seasoned Jaffer, talented Unmukt Chand, Jiwanjot and may be if you decide to find there will be few more. Why Raina again to replace an opener? Does that mean no chance for Rahane? or moreover another chance for Raina?

Its all Dhoni driven selection committee. Selectors give first preference to his CSK pets
I knocked dhawan out so that VS i.e virender sehwag [not V.SRINIVAS] could come back IN but the B.C.C.I played another TRUMP CARD..now its up to raina n team INDIA to go ahead n win the 4TH test which I shall be most happy to assist WITH an IN..with that the annihilation of AUSTRALIA would be complete and FORGOTTEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
