ITs batsmen inability to play fast bowlers on fast track (so providing spin pitches, dhoni further statements asking for spin track will only encourage spin not pace bowlers)is causing the problem for pace bowlers its not just ishant struggled even the starc and other pacers from aus also not taking wickets just like they used to due to conditions, weak support from pitch is major concern and other concerns are we donot have extraordiunary athetic pacers
Everyone say that he is Leading the Seam-bowling attack...... But how ????..... If someone doesnt watch cricket regularly...... it will be hard to identify..... Who is the New-comer between..... Bhuvi & Ishant...... Apart from that 1-over yesterday where Ishant got Reverse-swing...... took 2-wickets back to back...... he hasnt done anything in this Series...... as compared to Bhuvi..... Everyone calls Ishant Experienced....... Inconsistent Experience !!!! He has played 50-test matches...... but still he doesnt look like Experienced...... What has he done to Survive for that long ???...... Even BATSMEN dont get those many chances...... Without Consistent performances......
if he fails in 2nd inning and in final test, there will be no more reason for him or others to defend his place in the team considering the comparable performances of youngsters in recent years. It will be very sorrowful, if he has to retire in such low especially considering kallis and sangakkara are on verge of breaking his records in Test cricket with better batting averages, hundreds etc. He wont be regarded as best compared to them.
Its high time he plays freely as per merit of the ball instead of going into his shell unnecessarily and getting out just like he got out to smith

Good to see, he is careful and adjusted his batting to build a long innings which are positive. Good temperament make a better test player. Vijay is better in fielding as well.
