point is. dhawan bating is amazing but cant compare it with viru's debut innings or of saurav's debut at Lords, eng.

for one inning from shewag we used to wait 15 tests poor india lost all of them i am watching cricket for 2 long now to say i have watched the best innings till date

You don't have to compare it with any one. Dhawan's century is the fastest in the debut test match in the cricket history and that is a tall order to beat for a long time to come.
ckt expert rightly judged dhawan, that dhawan was given a chance, n he prospered. had he got the same chance that rohit was getting, he wud hv matured much earlier. the same thing can b said of manoj tiwari. rohit's backing wasted so many years of ind ckt.
No place for him now!!!! Its good that atleast now selectors are concentrating on making Indian team win the matches rather supporting 'stars' -sehwag,tendulkar who will score 300runs on their day but cannot play when team actually requires.

Tendulkar 300 on his day? tell me one innings friend when Tendulkar scored 300; Sehwag, yes he demolished the attack and scored 2 triple hundreds.

Today sachin cannot score 100 runs in a day, and in his entire career his SR was below 50 in tests. Don't compare sachin with viru or dhawan,they are different sort of batsmaen. Sachin is a grafter of runs, whereas the other 2 are blasters.

Even Sehwag could have payed similar or better way like Dhavan in this dead pitch of Mohali. Selectors could have given Sehwag one more chance here. Dhavan realy played well.

What an irony. Gambhir and Sehwag both out and India have found new opening pair in form of Vijay and Dhawan. It shows that if success goes into your head it will bring your downfall.
It was a toss up between dhawan and rahane forthe opener's slot and the selectors made the right decision. Both have impressive records at domestic cricket but Rahane lacks temperament at Test level
