why everybody wants to coach india ? eg azharuddin ganguly or kapil dev.
coach is the second captain of india, coach has every right to drop player and board consider his points, so coach can demand money from player illegally or threaten him to drop if not paid or he can hire the player who pay him more or he can hire player from his zone .
this is the reason why all past indian player want to coach india. board knows this reason so all foreign coach are preferred.

if past indian player is allowed to coach india than favouritism will come in to play. than it can be more dangerous for indian team.

Players who played under Ganguly: Shewag,Yuvraj,Sachin,Dravid,Jadeja,Robin Singh,Harbhajan, Srinath,Nehra,zaheer,Laxman,Prasad,kumble....
All the star players were with Ganguly through outhis career as captain. Most of them were performing at their peak.
Now I wonder how come people say Dhoni is the captain of the best Indian team when most of them arent performing & voiced being raised for sacking them :D. Still I accept your views that Dhoni isnt the best captain India had ;).

Ganguly took a formidable team with the players in the peak of their career.
When Dhoni took, many formidable players started retiring or waning off. Look at Sehwag or Sachin, they are not in their full form.
Dhoni got all young players who are less 10 matches experiences and some brand new. Still he is able to maintain his cool and guide them. Unlike Ganguly, who used to be a spoilt brat.

When ganguly took charge, there was match fixiing scam and team morale was low, he was to find talent of bhajji, sehwag, dhoni, raina, yuvi
What ganguly has done,, dhoni has to just carry that good work, Dravid was not able to boost morale of team as he lack that captain punch, lucky for dhoni no one wanted to be part of T20 worlcup (1st edition) and he grab that opportuinty then didnt look back

oh yes, i get it! because ganguly team consisted mostly of sachin dravid laxman ganguly himself kumble bhajji etc. mostly seniors and very few new generation players...thats why it was NOT the best indian team...
and dhoni's team consisted mostly of new generation players and very few times consisted of laxman, ganguly, dravid sachin kumble bhajii etc....thats why dhoni's team BEST indian team...
in short new generation players best seniors not the best..
