Good Luck Harbhajan

I am die hard cricket fan but was honestly not aware of your achievement that you are the 10th highest wicket taking bowler in test matches. It is nice to know that you are soon going to be the ninth highest wicket taking bowler and trust me it is no joke by any means. Any one who has reached so far is special and deserves to be applauded.

All the very best Bhajji. Keep entertaining us.

In that case Shewag has a great achievement as well. And he is a better entertainer. Why was he dropped?

That is up to the selectors. He is undoubtedly one of the finest entertainers in the history of cricket and no proofs required. He will bounce back. Sehwag can't be kept out for long.

Becus of Bad politics by Mr. dhoni. If viru is dropout off his poor batting, why dhoni was kept in team for the last so many years, who did nothing before final of last world cup.

Did you also read how many matches he played for 413 wickets? He played 101 matches which makes an average of 4 wickets in a match which makes average of 2 wickets in an innings which makes average of 2 wickets in 35 overs for a spinner Is he great?

9th Highest Wicket Taker
by Ajeet Singh on Mar 13, 2013 09:16 PM  | Hide replies

Harbhajan Singh has so far taken 413 wickets in test matches and is ranked as the 10th highest wicket taking bowler in the world. Wasim Akram with 414 test wicket is sitting at 9th rank, which means Bhajji is just 2 wickets away to become the 9th highest wicket taking bowler in the test cricket. He has already surpassed Curtley Ambrose and has pushed the latter to 11th spot and now it is imminent and just a matter of time before he moves a step ahead.

I feel Bhajji has been very unfortunate bowler because inspite of having taken so many wickets not many cricket lovers are aware of his achievements and keeps criticizing him. I conducted a survey on one of the website where only 11.76 percent people knew he is reaching this milestone, 64.70 percent were shocked to know that he has taken so many wickets in the game and rest just didn't know. Very sad picture indeed.

Good luck Bhajji.

Well, I am sure you have pointed out a very valid point about the unawareness of people's knowledge about the sport called cricket. At times people are just against someone and they do not miss any opportunity to run him down. Bhajji happens to be one such victim but what I admire in him is that he has been a fighter and has succeeded in climbing the ladder of success at constant speed. I am sure that he is going to take many more wickets in the game and take this opportunity to wish him all the very best for his bright future ahead.

He can't take a wicket to save his life. Pathetic guy couldn't take 1 wicket in te second innings of the last Test ona rank turner.

He was given 10 overs in 2 spells and his final figures were 10 overs 7 maidens 10 runs no wickets. Had he been given overs like Jadeja (25) he too would have taken wickets. But people can't see that unfortunately. But trust me I enjoy frustrations of people like you.

Exactly my point, why was he given 10 overs? because Dhoni has no faith in him picking any wickets.

He wasn't given many overs because he was not threatening in the 10 overs he was given. The batsmen were not troubled in facing him. Hence less overs...

should be greatful to Dhoni for taking the load of the team by having worst failure cricter in his team like tendulkar; sehwag; Bhajji;himself. still he has won test for India is great. commenting why over not given to bhajji is easy for us. taking decision is tough that is Dhoni. Better Bhajji; Sachin; ghambir; sehwag to retire to retire volunterly instead of getting axed
