See the Australians. How they were upset and hurt when lost to Team India very badly. They gave discipline a high place and went to the extent of axing good players for breech of duty. However team India's players after losing all 8 matches on tours of England & Australia were seen mostly in discotheques and pubs relaxing and enjoying. Indians are thick skinned. Humiliation is not a word in their dictionary.

Why is one approach better than the other? Did u see them in discotheques? Also do you know that australians are not going to discotheques(or something else) in india?
This action has to do with players not doing what is expected of them. there is no indication taht indian players didnot do what is asked of them.

Sehwag,Gambhir, Maxwell too will also be there. But see the pain of losing in thr Aussie team. Our team players had a similar bad run and the players were caught in brawls in West Indies but none lost his place for even bigger offences.
The red cherry_ball in his hand makes me nostalgic_of the old days, some 26-28 years before, when after we purchased a new_BDM or Mujherjee_ball,I will_snatch it from team_mates to ball the first over.Yes,they would allow me as I was the fastest.Wow_what a feeling and the maddening_smell of the new ball_still_haunts me...
It was so difficult to bowl an old worn out ball,we had no idea about reverse_swing those day and our raw pitches used to make the ball more slow.
It was a nice experience to collect fund from our pocket money and buy a ball every time, may be once in a week or 10 days !

as a batsman, I like the whizzing sound when it goes past you. it's always fun to bit a fast bowler, especially the straight drives
Exactly :) And it is terrible for a tailender batsman like me when the whizzing sould passes through :) Whether I sneaked it to the keeper or first sleep hands :))

dear fake, he is not emotional. he wants to say that he is senior person here. if he was really good bowler he will be in place of kapil dev or shrinath and not write nonsense in rediff.

Many of us played. But all need not be playing for the nation. Some played it as an exercise also. And for us as you know career, job these were more important. Those days ,Gavaskar,Gaikwad,or Vishwanath were hardly very rich. So,no Middle Class parents dared to send children for a sports career..
