Batting Order
by love kumar on Mar 07, 2013 03:41 PM

Some of our fellow rediff user think that team india should give chance to sehwag with change in batting order.

I want to ask them that if rahane/Dhawan should get include as opener, then there is no other player from no 3 to 11 can be replace by shewag, have a look at no 3 to 11 batsman, you can not think to drop anyone of them for sehwag in current series. all are either in form or specialist bowler
3 Pujara
4 Tendulkar
5 Kohli
6 Dhoni
7 Jadeja
8 Ashwin
9 Harbhajan/Ojha
10 Kumar
11 Ishant/Dinda

Give him Last two chance in Test, if he succeed thn also ask him to retire with dignity also from ODI & T20, only to play IPL & make money.

Sehwag should be retained for next 2 tests
by KS MADHUSUDAN on Mar 07, 2013 12:59 PM  | Hide replies

If Sehwag is retained, you never know; he could be the sole batsman sufficient to win 3rd test ?! That's the calibre of Sehwag. But he must be given some lessons from Board on NOT to resort to fighting with Dhoni for supremacy; Sehwag himself remain supreme !

Should Sehwag be dropped/
by SRINIVASAN N on Mar 07, 2013 12:46 PM

1. Sehwag was out to a ball which he played defensively. It was Ill luck. It means that he had luck only to be got selected in the Indian Team. Later on the luck factor petered out. As it has been proved that he is unlucky, where luck also plays a positive role, where it has been proved by the Providence that he has no Luck, there is no point in selecting him further.
2. I do not know why the concept of SPENT FORCE is not being understood by the selection vommittee. Do we eat our food today based on the Historical value or the other values? Sehwag was GOOD but IS not good now, as he has proved since may be 2 years. Wise decision is therefore to drop him. Listen to DRAVID,what he said after the Hyderabad test.

yup
the good news for all cricket fans
he tried hard to undermine captain dhoni thereby creating differences inteam
that was the reason for indian poor show in prev series
however selectors had faith in dhoni and thus with a supportive team we have wins against australlia

sehwag is better than any existing cricketer in team right now
by srinivas satyanarayan on Mar 07, 2013 12:43 PM

his time not good, whenever he played well india won most times. we need to give him more chance, mind it he open batting and thats the most dangerous moment, normally helpful for opening bowlers, any thing can happen
