yes he is best captain as he is successfully carrying a team that was developed by the best Leader Ganguly. It was because of Ganguly, dhoni has got a better team. Look at the team that saurav got and look at the team Dhoni has. ..dhoni is best but sourav is better than the best...

As far as best captain we cannot compare with ganguly since ganguly has performed well in overseas as well as a batsmen and a captain in one dayers and test matches unless if dhoni performed well in overseas only he can be a best captain (in test and one dayers)and let we see the next world cup since its going to be held in overseas and we'll see how he is playing in one dayers and as well as test mathces.Unless if he not performed in overseas he is not an best captain. so we cannot compare to Ganguly with Dhoni

Yes we are proud that you gave us white washes in eng, aus, home series defeat against Eng, Home ODI series loss agiant our friend Pak, 3 consecutive T-20 wcup loss in 1st round. No fifty or MOM even after playing 42 intnl matches. No overseas century outside subcontinent after playinh 9 yrs of cricket. You are laloo of cricket. salute to u for favouring mediore like raina, RP singh & many of ur friends in team in past.

Yo can't compare with Ganguly, he is clever/smart captain of India but Dhoni always luck favors him. Before deciding whose the best captain consider overseas performance & results

A team is as best as its players. If players are not best, team can me made to be best, only by a good leader, who leads himself.the best

Chap u dnt kno d stats,first of all u clear ur knowledge n den write over here, wen Ganguly took over the captaincy after match fixing scandal demolish the team's spirit back in 2000 den India was at no. 8th pos(last) in world test rankings n wen DADA has been sacked frm test captaincy in 2005 den india was at no.2 in test ranking...this itself tells the success of a true leadership, not only dat wen india won against eng in eng at leeds on 2002, dat was india's first victory outside subcontinent(apart frm d victory at zim in 2001) aftr 16 yrs n btw DADA has made 128 runs in 1st inn in dat test...dis again judge d talent n dedication of a captain..Not like dis uttered waste Dhoni who cnt even play pace bowling in a slightly swinging sub-continent wickets also. Dhoni wen took over d captaincy india was at no.3 in ranking back in 2008, so frm there is nt much diffclt for a captain to reach d no. 1..

Man u seem to an idiot. Luck too also only favors those who deserve it. Why did not luck favor for so many matches and so many years to any other cricketer? Learn to respect those who own it. Dhoni is far superior than Ganguly, more shrewed than him and he did not need anytime to become naked like Ganguly in Lords to cheerup as a frusto! Ganguly was a good captain and will always be remembered for changing the face of Indian cricket, but certainly, Dhoni is the bigger and better captain...if Ganguly was the first superstar Rajesh Khanna, Dhoni is Amitabh, the biggest superstar...rest are stars.
