by KKunal Ghogrre on Mar 05, 2013 05:42 PM

Yes Mr. Clarke..You had almost the same team barring a few players who had thrashed India 4-0 down under on bouncy tracks, celebrating with your teammates having beer n partying hard thinking ur were an unbeatable team where our Indian team were in the same sitiuation where you are in now (raha bhi na jai, saha bhi nai jai).
We will make sure u go down 4-0 here...What goes aroun, comes aroun.

This is alarming for India too:

Since SA tour is scheduled at the end of year and none of young Indian batsmen got much experience. Two most experienced batsmen Sachin and Viru are most unlikely visitors, so will India be able to draw a single match? Time will tell !!! for a while congratulations India and hope this winning keeps happening for long time.

The batting on Indian tracks without a trace of grass is a sure shot way to disaster in SA.BCCI is so short sighted that they are compromising the future of team by preparing tracks that are only in our continent.Winning in home condition is vital for every team but world beaters like England in 60's & lately, W.Indies in 80's,Australia in last two decades & South Africa recently always won in all conditions

So you think that BCCI should have prepared fast tracks as to allow Aussies to win all the four tests and whitewash India? At least, when things are under our control and we are good on a spinning pitch, why not encash the opportunity?

agree. v shud play to our strength. if ausis can prepare wkts for theirstrength, then y cant v? n whats so shameful in that?
only thing is to judge quality of our players who can really play on bouncy wkts n dont blindly follow the track record on dead tracks.

Sachin can help them maybe. He helped them so many times by getting out for zero with them on many occasions and also getting his collegues out to make records.

Why this euphoria?
by Prasad on Mar 05, 2013 04:49 PM  | Hide replies

The BCCI and Dhoni must be feeling elated beating a hapless underdog like Australia on home soil. The Aussies recently lost their home series to both England and SA though they whacked India 4-0. But the next series for India is against SA in SA and it is to be seen if India can reach 200 in any of the innings. No point preparing pitches to suit bowlers like Ashwin who can never take wickets on foreign soil.

do you think if india go to aus,sa,eng they will prepare spin wickets, surely not they will have hard bouncy wickets so they should accept that it and play it is the nature pitches in each country and india should always prepare spin wickets but they should alternatively make arrangements for our players to be prepared how to play in hard bouncy wickets bowlers and batters this is the job of bcci with the help of retired players asking how to do not change the nature of pitch of international matches to change but make alternative domestic pitches where in we can play

absolutely correct view. Every country prepares pitchs to suit the type of players they have. Nothing wrong with our country doing the same.

true. players shud b given chance to acclimatise with bouncy pitches as well at domestic level. some for selection to bouncy pitch matches, bcci shud ignore performances made in ipl n clearly go by the quality of batsmanship.

Don't worry!

The ground staff has already started "emasculating" the Mohali pitch to help India's spinners humiliate the Australian Inbred team.

In this test match, Sehawag did not see or hear the edge of ball to the keeper and he could not see umpire as well directing him to walk off,? with such huge pace and bouncy track of Mohali, it is better to make Sehawag the 12th man and take rest behind the boundary line

There is nothing wrong in preparing tracks that suits home team.It is however, important to also ensure that cricket is enjoyed by crowds

Mohali used to be a seamer wicket, bounce was actually lower. But if curator can change the Chennai wicket from bounce-swinging type in Dec to bounce and turn in Feb, then we can expect even the seam to vanish in Mohali esp with summer setting in the North.

Tricky Pitches!
by Aces99 on Mar 05, 2013 04:27 PM  | Hide replies

Tricky Pitches!

Pitches in India have changed since a year where team batting first is collapsing with a lower score let it be England, Australia or India.

Pitches in India is providing good support for the faster bowlers & spinners in day one.

Day two & three have become good for batting.

Fourth & fifth day again suited for spinners.

So I firmly belive & to test the same, you can check it when third test starts between Australia & India. Team batting first will collapse no matter who is batting first.

And they have the audacity to dream of making big scores against Indian spinners?!

I do not think it is testing time for Clarke. The last two test series they played, they lost 2-0 without winning any match. Except for their wonderful performance in 2004-2005, they have always lost in India.

They know it very well that they will not play on turning tracks for the next 4 years.

He is in the same boat as Allan Border was in mid-1980s.

Legendary Australian cricketers had retired or died from alcohol poisoning and Border was asked to build an almost new team.

A weak Australian side was taken apart by India's casual cricketers of the time.

Same thing seems to be happening with Clarke.
