I hope Pujara would continue to play the hook shot at least when it is feasible to do so. it is such a macho shot and tells the bowler that the batsman is not going to be intimidated. Sachin tendulkar avoids the hook shot completely that he is now unable to even swing out of the way to really quick deliveries. he most often gets pinged on the helmet or looks ugly trying to fend a short delivery away. hope pujara doesnt end up like that.

Right. I am very happy that he is playing hook shot. I don't remember anyone playing it after Gavaskar and Amarnath. Now a days people play more of pull rather than hook. But hook shot looks so good and send signal to bowler as well. Pujara is a real future of Indian cricket. He has got all the shots, and the right attitude. Best of Luck to this nice human being.
That's strange, some of the best batsmen in the world have great hook shots to play. In test matches fast bowlers will try to ball bouncers, if you manage to put them out of the park consistently bowlers will not ball short pitch stuff. So I think it is a good shot to master and it is not unconventional shot like reverse sweep.

totally agree. the best in business have a strong hook shot and are not afraid to use it. Pujara and Kohli show aliking for the short stuff and are good hookers/pullers. hope it continues. hope they dont learn the art of ducking under a short delivery no matter what from the senior players in the team.
Quotes from presentation "Really happy about it," says Cheteshwar Pujara, the Man of the Match. "There was a bit of pressure on me. I just got married, and my wife was worried I should perform. We knew that the new ball would do a bit. The plan was to not lose any wickets in that first session. My natural game to play that fast. Scoring those many runs in domestic runs has given me the experience to help me keep the tempo. It was a very important partnership with Vijay, our communication was good and it set the platform."
For the third and fourth test against australia , India should field Ambati Rayudu and rest Sachin tendulkar . By doing this, India can test their future generation .

Better to repeat the team for 3rd test. Mohali could be tricky. and then rest Sachin, Dhoni & Ashwin for the 4th test. Instead play with Rahane, Ozha & a 2nd choice keeper

Now we donot need any Virender Sehwag. He is in horrible form. In his place Gautam Gambhir should return. Gambhir played well against eng, better than rest of indian team excluding pujara
