Not just batting order but the playing Xi also needs change. Both Jhonson and Lyon need to be part of the playing Xi replacing two pacers other than Pattison. In the past M/jhonson has been main wrecker of Indian side and his exclusion doesn't make much sense.Besides, although M/Clarke scored big but his batting was negative with strike rate of around 50.Undoubtedly among his team mates he is best suited to take on the Indian bowling, especially the spinners. So unless he takes the initiative to go after the Indian spinners agressively his other inexperienced junior colleagues are sure to get further intimated. He has to take cue from dhoni. Moreover he has to show more faith in his spinners Lyon and Doerhty.
the cricket boards of England Australia and South Africa refrain from 'doctoring' pitches when the Indians tour their respective countries. The New Zealand board once did that (in 2001 - 2002, I guess) by preparing absolute green tops and the Indian 'legends' couldn't even react to deliveries form Bond, Tuffey and Oram..!!! May be those boards are confident enough that the Indians are tigers only on under-prepared dust bowls and they would struggle even on sporting wickets where there is something for everyone.. I would like to see the performances of the new players like Pujara, Kohli etc. on doctored wickets especially in SA and Australia against the current crop of SA/Australian bowlers...!!!
jadeja was instrumental in getting crucial wkts n it was a beauty of left armer's delivery to get clark clean bowled thru his defence. n he had a brilliant runout as well.
jadeja the batter hasnt done well compared to his domestic performances at intnl level, but as a bowler is doing rather well. if given time, jadeja improves his batting,it vl b a real bonus to ind that v may hv good bowling allrounder.
v hv many batting allrdr but v need good bowling allrdr who primarily takes wkts consistently.
