Cricket is only popular in few poor economies in Indian subcontinent( India is one of them). On one hand it is called cricket superpower, but in other sports its a BIG ZERO. Also, our economic growth is back to 25 years ago and the Govt is divesting PSU Stocks at discounts and market is falling giving ample indication that there is big problem ahead (joblessness, inflation, law and order) for the cricket mad country. Nothing saidf better for other cricket mad countries like Srilanka, Pakistan , Bangladesh. All are heavily troubled and cricket addiction of public is saving the Govts in these countries.

In Austrlia cricket is relegated to 4th popular game, same in England and NZ. Even South Africa has Rugby and Football above cricket. The condition of WI is known to everyone.

In rest of the world, presence of cricket is negligible.

Cricket in UK is first game among elites. Anyway all games are good, however I pity who do not understand cricket. They do not know what they are missing

pujara is behaving as if he scored 10,000 runs
by tim jim on Mar 04, 2013 11:36 PM  | Hide replies

this loud mouth should seal his trap and play, lets see how much this bloke scores on fast pitches, the problem with most of these indians is that minute they score on home conditions endorsements start pouring in and they start talkin big. go score a century at lords or wanderers or perth then earn some bragging rights not on dust bowls of india

pujara is going in full form. scoring fastest 1000 runs.

well done pujara n vijay to keep ausi out of the match.
particularly pujara who has been scoring heavily as was evident from his domestic performances. n he has continued to carry forward the legacy that he has earned of scoring big hundreds as he is holding unique record of scoring 3 triple centuries in 21 days.
n he has become fast indian to score 1000 runs along with gavaskar.

Dhoni should intelligently pick up left hand spinners like Jadeja,Oza besides ashwin &drop useless harbhajan.tendulkar should be rested permanently as he cant play fast bowling now a days.

duncan the culprit
by veerapuram dharan on Mar 04, 2013 08:14 PM  | Hide replies

if dhoni could play aggressively since chennai test, what stopped him from playing the same way against england? i suspect, duncan fletcher being an englishman, would have advised us to play defensively and hence swann and panesar were on top of us. its time we remove this hippo immediately after the aus series.

Please don't become over confident of your achievements, retain your hunger to score bigger than this and give some respectability to a dying Indian Test squad.
