An approrpriate reply to all the humiliation we faced in Australia last time. We need nothing less than 4-0 whitewash to silence the Aussie.

pujara is going in full form

well done pujara n vijay to keep ausi out of the match.
particularly pujara who has been scoring heavily as was evident from his domestic performances. n he has continued to carry forward the legacy that he has earned of scoring big hundreds as he is holding unique record of scoring 3 triple centuries in 21 days.

TEAM AUS DIVING TO ITS LOWEST HUMILIATING DEPTHS ?
by damodaran mohan on Mar 04, 2013 07:41 PM  | Hide replies

Now the mighty Aussies face another imminent defeat. It is simply unbelievable the meek way the Aussies are going down w/o much of a semblance of fight. When India were doing badly in the Test series it were the same Aussies who were taking a dig at Indian cricket and BCCI for being down in the dumps due to IPL ! The position seems to be reversed now because it is not just defeats but the fact that no Australian side in the past have undergone such humiliations as this side is going through. Even after the Chennai TEST defeat the Australian side were expected to give a tough fight but the way they are caving in to Ihe Indians is simply unbelievable.I think partly M/Clarke has to take responsibility for his labored negative batting and some inept captaincy. On the first day of the 2nd Test after winning the Toss if only Clarke had batted little more positively taking cue from Dhoni and taken on the Indian bowlers then may be his inexperienced batting line up could have coped better.To-day though he looked somewhat more enterprising and did come up with better bowling changes initiatives to wind up the Indian innings earlier than expected. But he has an herculean task to save his side from another humiliating defeat. It remains to be seen if Clarke & co. manages to recover to salvage some pride or go down to depths never seen before by any Aus side.

Both India and Australia are going through the same phase. Some of their top players (Ponting, Hussey for Aus, Dravid, Laxman for India) have retired recently and their replacements are yet to be tested, specially in foreign conditions.

England on the other hand came with a well set team, most of the players are playing for 5-7 years, and had toured India before.

drop sehwag and harbhajan
by Sreedhar on Mar 04, 2013 06:44 PM  | Hide replies

For the 3rd test in mohali, team India should make 3 changes..

Drop sehwag and bring in Dhawan
Drop bhajji and get Ojha
Drop Ishant and get Umesh Yadav (if fit) or Dinda..

love to see aussies getting a battering.

it would dent their confidence considerably b4 they take on England in the back to back Ashes series....

ojha inplace of ishant
by blue planet on Mar 04, 2013 05:42 PM  | Hide replies

what s ishant sharma doing in the team..he hardly bowls , bats or fields. if he bowls he bowls in first innings only without any variation in line or length. Ojha should be given a chance insatead of him as it will add variety to spin attck.dhoni is anyways begining the attck with spnners.why is ishant liability required?

Agreed, however, the third test is in Mohali, it is the only Indian track which favours pace, so we have to pick at least 2 fast bowlers, Dinda should replace Ishant Sharma.

Wonder why Ishant, inspite of repeated poor bowling performances in match after match, is retained. There are so many promising pace bowlers like Bhuvneshwar waiting for a break of their life time. Even Irfan Pattan would have been a better choice as he had bowled really well in all his comeback matches & he could bat as well. Wonder where is Varun Aaron?

Pitch is not turning. No declaration.
by Jagdish Reddy on Mar 04, 2013 01:11 PM

India should bat till tomorrow after lunch if they do not get all out before then. Once the pitch shows signs of deterioration, they can decide on earlier declaration. Otherwise, keep batting.

take the right decision to win
by divine on Mar 04, 2013 01:04 PM

Dhoni should declare after Tea and put pressure on Australia. India already has a lead of morethan 200 runs and by tea, it would be around 250/270. The aim of indian skipper should be winning the 2nd test and not Innings Winning. Hope, Doni, decides wisely.
