Rahul Dravid's sudden retirement last year, coupled with his own poor form....he scored 5 test centuries in 2011..failed in one series...yet they call him poor form...sick news...same goes for VVS..he is the best batsmen to play at no 6...Dhoni by virtue of a couple of innings cannot become suddenly a great player...

Every one should understand that MSD is not the great test player. But yarr please remember that he is the best WK batsman who leads the team. He gone past 4000 test runs and people scream about. He is not the one will make centuries all the time, nor does he claims.
If you have seen, the runs he scored is the most by India test captain while leading the side (>2.5 tsd seems)
What else you expect from a man who keeps relentlessly in the field throughout the year.

we are giving tributes to the author who called Dravid's form as "poor" after he was the highest run scorer in Eng series and 4th highest scorer in Aus series. He still had more runs than Gambhir, Dhoni and Laxman.

And your madness towards believing R Dravid as the test batsmen continues.. You know all the experts who played less number of tests than the number of total number of T20's that Dhoni played (imagine how much expert they will be; hours spent on the field), had started retracting their anti-MSD campaign.
You need not say that he is the greatest of all time test player.. neither we all say..
but at least acknowledge that he is the best WK batsmen in tests ever the India has produced..

sivanesan, do you have to beg or abuse others to make them accept your views?

Look at how many replies you made to others as evident in trailing boxes..

Me too was a hard core fan of Rdravid.. but write to the context and do not compare Dravid Vs Dhoni or Dhoni Vs Laxman. Thats what I am saying, people shoud understand he is the WK batsmen. and he should be the easily the best after Shankakara/Gilchrist even in Tests. But no body has played the game with the amount of load MSD has.

A great batsman is one who plays well in all kinds of tracks. So, my "100%" is justified. Dont bring in points like fitness, WK, etc. Then, you want to consider the charity he does, respect he gives etc? The best wiket keeper batsman of today can be ABD followed by Sanga and Prior in my opinion. Who has played or not played is not my concern.

shikari shambhu you have to learn a lot...only prior that you mentioned is a wk batsman...sangakkara and ABD are batsmen NOT wicket keepers...

if sanga and abd can be called wk batsmen then well...india's greatest wk batsmen is rahul dravid...

i will not bother to disturb your opinions. however, it is a pleasure that you call Dravid the greatest wk batsmen of india.

ss, btw i would also like to know what you think about my reply to your politically correct statements post...
Dhoni is the greatest captain in the history of cricket. We were down to our knees, we lost all our great players and yet we recovered and are up standing tall. We are the best team in all forms of cricket -- test, T20, ODI. We are on a roll and would easily trounce South Africa if we were to meet today.

Credit must be given to Dhoni when has done great, he has shown that what he can do if he is given full control by the Board.......Laxman and even Sunil Gavaskar also praised him....
