ZAHEER RISKY AND R/SHARMA UNSUITABLE AS OPENER FOR O/DAYERS

Yes, absolutely they were he best and perhaps this young side will be the nucleus for the 2015 WC.Before Test in SA in Nov. the immediate task in hand is the tri-series in WI for which the selectors have retained the same side.Only Irfan has been replaced by young Shami Ahmd, a right decision. The tri-series will give ample opportunity for the talented youngster like Umesh yadav to hone his skill further in doing disciplined bowling with tight line and length . Presently he is bowling short of length and too often strays on to the pads giving away too many runs. He should also develop more variety, those in-swinging Yorkers inside the block hole, ,toe crushers etc. Similarly Ishant Sharma also should develop variety and improve his new ball bowling because he is more effective with older ball when he returns for his 2nd spell.B.Kumar of course is constantly improving and once all the three perfect their skills and other battery of youngsters like Vinay Kumar, Shami Ahmd etc. gear up to take tougher challenges India can do w/o an injury prone Zaheer Khan who is always a risk. On the spin front Jadeja-Ashwin duo are doing very well with Jadeja especially becoming the wicket taking specialist spinner slot and Ashwin doing the ‘containing ‘job’ well of the support spinner. R Ashwin will have to find ways to take wickets otherwise his position might become untenable as more spinners come on the horizon. Opening batting pair ? RS is talented but su

(contd..)..RS is talented but suited more for T20 as he doesn’t have the patience and the ‘attitude’ to stay long on the wicket or accumulate runs. Better to persist with likes of Murali Vijay, A Rahane, G Gambhir etc.

Dhoni's Acheivements
by Balakrishnan Natarajan on Jun 25, 2013 08:39 PM

T20 World Cup
ODI World Cup
ICC Champions Trophy
No.1 Ranking in Tests
No.1 Ranking in ODIs

2 times Title Winner in IPL
Title winner in Champions League

Every time he achieves something people tell various different reasons for his success. But one thing which is constant in all the above achievements is Mr Captain Cool Dhoni, the best ever captain World cricket has seen.

But you know Dhoni haters always talk about those 8 washout tests played away from home, in which Dhoni's role was very less to blame when every team member was failing the expectations.

Thanks to Sachin, Gambir, and Sewag for making a way for capable youngsters. Real thanks to Selectors as well for these bold decisions.

Yeah Wasim,
If a meteor had struck then there would be no Champions.

If there was a terror attack by your brothers then certainly there wouldn't be a Champions trophy event.

Grow up Wasim, live in reality.

Prashanth, I disagree.

I don't mind playing with 11 gundas as long as the results are in my favour.

Because thats what gets written into the record books at the end of the day.

Mr. Rhode,
what is wrong in his saying. you have understood keep mum instead of commenting. we Indians are happy when we understand the communication. Dravid doesnot have to go to any essay compitition or has to deliver any international speech. he has only commented.

sometimes it is felt why cricket is popular in india, pakistan, lanka, bangladesh may be england dominated this countries for two hundred years. secondly only 6-7 country play this game. e.g. some years back india was hockey super power when few countries used to play hockey. after other countries joined this game we are no where. secondly these countries have lot of time to waste.
