None of the teams showed any interest in winning like they already knew India was going to win the finals!
At least 5 - 6 players from each team either play in the I P L or want to play in the I P L, so they didn't want to "upset" the owners of the I P L teams who also own Indian businesses which make a lot of money by using I P L players as models!
I P L is going to kill Cricket!
Finally, we Indians get to destroy something that is cherished and loved by our former rulers, the British!
Our independence struggle martyrs will be so proud of us for doing something they had to die to do!
India need to open the eyes, why those people are giving and paying for joy? why they are not paying some attention on some victims,, they announced many crores to players, it is good but in same time they need to send some strong help to victims.. that is need

You people don't have any knowledge about cricket or whats going on, but still comments negatively on others, you should know that BCCI declared 20 crores for utharkand victims. But how much your company or your father or even you have decided to contribute for them.
I have heard that BCCI has announce 1 crore for this winning cricketers. It's a time for our sportsman, celebreities to do their bit. Dhoni,Jadeja, Tendulkar are all super-rich donating 1-2 crore for flood relief would be peanuts for them. So some genorisity.

forget about cricketers, not even the so called famed bollywood celebrities have come forward to donate. they are the ones who get sky high remuneration for doing no constructive work.

I have never understood you people. You want them to help victims. But you don't blame politicians who have truck load of black money. Atleast this people has earned money by hard work and not looted anyone.
the success of this team is due to the fact that no player is allowed to last beyond his use by date. for ex, viru may be our rambo, but, he and we should accept that there will be a time in our age where we cant be the same energetic youngster. even a new building bought has depreciation value as it grows in age. the key is, when to identify the ripe time of a player and this is the time to show the player the door. usually, the ripe age for any player would be ideally 10 years and then it will be downfall. but for once in a century player like sachin, it is 24 years, which is running now. and he has handled it in a matured way by hanging his boots in his favourite ODI. it needs to be applauded. he will retire gracefully from tests very soon, may be immediately after the SA tour.

i could see greg chappels school of thought visible in this team. be agile, no room for laziness, strict drills etc, which our former lazy players like sehwag, bhajji etc didnt like and hence they revolted against greg.

dont talk nonsense about players who made us world champions.. THis tournament was no comparision to world cup. Teams played with no interest.Sehwag is a legend ur rohit sharma has been a failure records spk truth only..
Mr. shewag .This is purely the magic of Mr. Dhoni. even without good names . he had shown. you have once said if good players are around you can show results. if you are been given the same team i am sure you could not do this. learn to accept facts in life. Never blame others, if you don't do when you got change, including great Gauti also.

With due credits to Dhoni, I don't fully agree that it was "any" team that Dhoni made results of.
The team was, indeed, a performing team. Performance of the team matters more than the names.
