Aleem Dar is a distinguished Umpire on the International Circuit. He changed the ball within the framework of the ICC guidelines. ICC is contradicting itself by now victimizing Aleem for following the rules that ICC set in the first place. Is this price that we from the Subcontinent pay. Both the Boards, India and Pakistan must protest this unhealthy move that goes against sportsman spirit.

Yes. After all match fixing started with Pak & you can never trust a Pak player. None less than Sobers commented on Pak "you play with 13 players in Pak". Javed Miandad is said to have never been given LBW while playing in Pak. that is Pak.

Mr Anil, you sound like a clerk.. it is because of people like you that mughalz, british and con-gress could rule this country for so long.
1. now the umpires are punished by England Captain,,,,...who actually must be in the dock for ball tampering. After this unabashed dictation which umpire will call the right decision? As such Tucker and Dharmasena are known English puppets! What ways do get the trophy... Shame on you English To speak of ....Gentlemans' Game...

This was the trick once followed by Aussies - In all their important matches, Steve Buckner was put in as umpire, and the managed to win. They failed to identify the erosion in standards, and 'slow death' retired, Aussies relegated! Better, if Cook and team learned from aussie example. Similarly, when Bishen sing Bedi shouted that King is naked when John Lever resorted to Vaseline technology, MCC promptly removed him from County cricket!!!
BCCI was always accused of having clout and having its way with ICC. What about MCC now? They've managed to sideline an umpire who 'dared' to suspect English players of ball tampering. Mind you - only suspecting, not accusing or anything else.
He just changed the ball without making any waves.....and see where it got him!!
Had the umpire NOT been from the subcontinent, would ICC have 'demoted' him?

of course england feels they own the game. it's good that India upstaged them. there was this rotten clique of "white" countries against whom the asian countries rebeled
I guess it is England's way of making things favorable for them. Dharmasena has in the past been very, very partial against India. So by putting him ahead of Aleem Dhar, England is just creating a favorable condition for them. Hope India makes use of the DRS effectively.
He is one of the very few good umpires left today, on ICC umpire panel. I'm not sure what's the big deal about changing the ball. As per the rules, umpires are supposed to constantly monitor the condition of ball and change it if required.

He is barred because England lost that match and SL won it. Simple as that. If I am right, it was reported during the commentary that Aleem Dhar is closely watching the English bowling and was checking the condition of the ball all the time. He must have found something that led to change of ball. His demotion primarily due to the sulking brits, nothing more
