I think some Indian players like Murali Vijay, Shikar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma (based on what I saw in the warm up match against Srilanka) are still in T20 mode being just out of IPL.
They would do well to emulate Guptill. BTW, Guptill's two centuries in two consecutive ODIs are excellent. With Taylor and McCullum also appearing to be in good form and NZ playing competitive rather than warm up matches before the Champions Trophy, they have to be taken seriously by their opponents.
