politics on srinivasan
by Informed on Jun 02, 2013 07:06 PM

Politicians can't tolerate a civilian succeeding. Dalmia was removed on a flimsy allegation for which he was clear later by court, but he had already lost his position by then. They are doing the same thing for Srinivasan for some alleged betting offence by his son-in-law. Both Dalmia and Srinivasan are not politicians but civilians. Things would be different if they had been in congress.

Only players should come
by Yashpal Gogia on Jun 02, 2013 06:56 PM

Unless we make it compulsory in all sports union that only players who had played upto at least national level can become members of these unions, no good will happened to players. If cricket is liked its benefits should go to players, neither to pawar, Dalmia, sriniwasan or jaitely.

Is this the beginning...
by adam smith on Jun 02, 2013 05:56 PM

...of the end of BCCI as a cricket power?

It is open now that the cricket fans and the country has been taken for a ride by the 'old boys' club who stuck together.

It was a shameless display by all the 30 members of the BCCI except one (Mr. I.S.Bindra).

Why such a hype?
by SR Hari on Jun 02, 2013 05:34 PM  | Hide replies

It is shocking that news channels (one channel in particular) are pending so much time covering the BCCI meet in chennai. The statements like "crisis in chennai" are too much for such an issue. Does india's economy depend on the outcome of this meeting? What is the big deal in giving continuous coverage to this event?

Is this not unwarranted hype?

I am not for or against Srinivasan. But this coverage is just not needed. The Congis must be feeling happy that thanks to this issue, no other scam had surfaced in the last two, three weeks and older scams are getting forgotten!!!!!.
