Sports in the private hands
by srinivasan iyer on Jun 02, 2013 09:14 AM

there is no reason for leaving sports in the hands of a few especially politicians! That too without any Popular accountability!
they must be under the govt as they deal with the aspirations of the people! their emotions!
the govt atleast has an accountability! the president of the nation must be the Patron and rep of the govt must report its activities to the parliament and respective assemblies!

the govt may not be part of the management but has to have a veto role!
the International Olympic Association has no Politics - thats what they say but has it ever taken any step against the US for its boycott?
Because there is no international Govt they are not having interference! Still veiled influence cant and has never been wished off!

NS set 3 conditions
by DEBABRATA DEY on Jun 01, 2013 09:12 PM

NS set 3 conditions to step down. He uttered that Board secretary Sanjay Jagdale and Treasurer Ajay Shirke have ditched him. So, 1st condition is both of them must be shown the door for ever. But, he himself wants to attend ICC Meetings etc. Just think how power crazy he is as if it is his own property like India Cements. I am afraid about the fate of BCCI.
