Non-Cricket sportsmen should get an opportunity in BCCI
by Micheal Ferreira on Jun 02, 2013 01:00 AM

BCCI with billions of revenue should accommodate notable players from sports other than Cricket for better transparency and accountability.

BCCI board should be totally revamped and get rid of stooges of BJP, Congress and NCP, especially stooges installed by Srinivasan to protect his wrongdoings.

Why soft on Srinivasan?--he is a disgrace to any sport
by Micheal Ferreira on Jun 02, 2013 12:59 AM

Why Congress, BJP and NCP are too soft on Sreenivasan?

By Prima facie, Sreenivasan appears to be deeply involved and aware of fixing in IPL and other Cricket matches.

With the arrest of his son-in-law Meiyyapan, circumstantial evidence clears points Sreenivasan guilty.

Sreenivasan should have been booted out rather than BCCI members waiting him to take his own decision.

I honestly think Mr. Srinivasan is innocent here. Unfortunately, it appears that a lot of people who are asking him to resign are the people who either want to be in the limelight or have political motive to gain something from him getting departed. I have been constantly seeing media especially Times Now going for a kill against him just because they are looking to settle scores for him not giving interview to them. The reason I feel he is innocent is so far I have not seen him sugar quote any message to protect himself or speak ill of anybody. He has not even tried to protect his son-in-law for his wrong doings and not tried to say that his son-in-law is innocent. It definitely looks like Gurunath has been taking advantage of his position and doing things secretly. He definitely needs to get punished for this. But as far as Srinivasan is concerned he should stay. I can also see that even if people ask him to resign temporarily there is a very high chance that once he is out of power there will be every attempt by his opponents to prove him guilty and throw him out. But, just to satisfy certain people who genuinely suspect his involvement, he should probably step aside and have somebody else run the investigation and just hope that fair investigation happens.

True. I, for one, don't understand why the media (especially TOI) is all out to oust Srinivasan. We have been seeing front page reports everyday as if we don't have other news fit to be national importance.
Forget about whether Srinivasan is guilty or not. We have other issues which require immediate attention like corruption at high places etc. Therefore, let the media indulge in a crusade on other evils that are plaguing our society. For example, I live in Patna and I am very much concerned about the garbage strewn all over.
