My take on this ...
by coolindian on Jun 01, 2013 01:29 PM  | Hide replies

I honestly think Mr. Srinivasan is innocent here. Unfortunately, it appears that a lot of people who are asking him to resign are the people who either want to be in the limelight or have political motive to gain something from him getting departed. I have been constantly seeing media especially Times Now going for a kill against him just because they are looking to settle scores for him not giving interview to them. The reason I feel he is innocent is so far I have not seen him sugar quote any message to protect himself or speak ill of anybody. He has not even tried to protect his son-in-law for his wrong doings and not tried to say that his son-in-law is innocent. It definitely looks like Gurunath has been taking advantage of his position and doing things secretly. He definitely needs to get punished for this. But as far as Srinivasan is concerned he should stay. I can also see that even if people ask him to resign temporarily there is a very high chance that once he is out of power there will be every attempt by his opponents to prove him guilty and throw him out. But, just to satisfy certain people who genuinely suspect his involvement, he should probably step aside and have somebody else run the investigation and just hope that fair investigation happens.

He has been running cricket since early 70s when nobody cared much for cricket. Several cricketers are just not supported but given livelyhood through employment. He has sponsored several tournaments including the silver jublee repeat of Tied Chennai Test between India and Aussie. Arnab who has never heared of Cricke before it became highly commercial wants to save the game by demanding Srini's resignation. Great natural justice

After moth of IPL Match-fixing news
by shrinivasan venkataraman on Jun 01, 2013 12:36 PM  | Hide replies

I would like to ask the electronic media especially English Media "Is there nobody whose views are against the media's? It is clear that the media and news channels are not able to tolerate opposite views and are indulging in vendetta against Srinivasan who has come clear answering all questions put to him in Kolkotta. Why the media and not questioned Scindia who is showing moral to Srinivasan did not ask the Prime Minister to resign when 2G scam Coal scam etc. were and still are a big national shame? The wrong has happened in the IPL of fixing matches where Shri Shukla is a Commissioner of IPL. Why have not the news channels and electronic media demanded for the resignation of Sri. Shukla? IOt is amply clear that the Media as awhole is prejudiced against one individual i.e. Sri. N. Srinivasan. If the Meia and news channels donot learn to be impartial, they are bound to loose faith of the people. Beware.
